I don’t think he is being controlling, he just understands and is uncomfortable in that with the current world we live in, the less clothes you wear, the more you’re objectified and sexualised. Some guys are able to tolerate this behaviour towards their lady, some guys can’t.

Growing up the way they have I'm sure he didn't want anyone to see her. I do not understand at all how her brother was worried about being shunned because of his sister BUT he slept with who knows how many girls while in Florida and the family won't get shunned when he's being a man whore?? That's so annoying how he can sleep around in the same house as his sister, but tell her she can't sleep in the same bed.. when Rosana got into a fight with her boyfriend and brother almost fighting.. Kinda unrelated but actually extremely related: In my country of Sweden we have taken in lots of Muslim migrants and there has been lots of debate about segregating bathhouses since the parents don't want their girls swimming with boys, and wearing bikinis. This is a pretty darn accurate parallel, if you have never ever worn stuff like this in your life and your culture is extremely modest, it's a VERY big step to take.

It’s a hard thing to give up the principles you were raised with regardless of what they are. They should try to find a kiddie ground if they wanna stay together because they both have good points. Even if you’re comfortable in a bikini, it is weird a bunch of men watching you like they were. But also it’s normal attire at the beach. And no msn should dictate what a woman wears. They should find a compromise they’re both comfortable with. Going from a long dress to a bikini is drastic. Perhaps take baby steps.
