Eye Candy Aspiring Eye Candy Aspiring what he’s saying is that when you say “there was...” then the subject (in this case “Jew”) has to follow the verb (in this case “was”, from the verb “to be”).
When you use a verb which changes depending on whether the subject is singular or plural, the two have to match I.e. the singular version of the verb should be used with the singular version of the subject and vice verse. The villager mixed the two by stating that there “was (singular) no Jews (plural)”
The upshot of this is that there are four forms of the sentence “there were no Jews”, two of which are correct grammatically but depend on the context and two which Are grammatically incorrect.
If there is one Jew, you should say “there was one Jew”
If there are multiple Jews, you should say, “there are (x number) of Jews,” or simply “there are Jews”
Both of these are grammatically correct, but there are two incorrect forms

One could say “there were no Jew” which would sound weird to most because few people make this mistake
One could also say “there was no Jews”, which is more common and the mistake the villager made.
The main reason why these are mistakes is because it becomes impossible from the sentence alone whether the subject is singular or not. If you were to state the final two options, how would you know which form was correct? Trust the plural verb or the singular subject? And vice versa. Making the two spare is both grammatically correct and logically easier to follow.
Hope this helps

+Joel Andersson "Ain't nobody got time for that."

Ok, there are two issues wrong with that sentence that I spotted:

1. Got isn't the proper term to use. The correct verb is has. "Nobody has time for that.

2. Ain't is a pseudo contraction. Therefore, it isn't a true contraction and would be classified as a slang term. In the English language, we use either "aren't", haven't", "hasn't", or "isn't".

I know this is only a parody but the guy playing the SS Colonel is actually spot on with his impersonation of Christoph Waltz

@stephenm.stouter2238

Bardo idk, I think he sounded more like Willem Defoe in a few places

Stephen M. Stouter
His accent does drop a little bit but it does have the proper slimy and stern Austrian performance.
