Assento dele
Novectacle Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Esta na pampa da noite preto
Uma besta tocou as pedras de fogo então fez as estrelas
O vento soaste e misturou o inverno

A besta já perde o luz
Além de lua, abraçou as estrelas na braços dele
Nem recusa a doente, a odiente, a maltraridade
Depois a chuva, recordação veio bater à onda com o vento

O que a serenata
Ser lindo toda escravo ou princesa

Overall Meaning

These lyrics are written in Portuguese, but can be translated as follows:

"In the plains of the black night, a beast touched the stones of fire and then made the stars. The wind sounded and mixed with the winter.

The beast has already lost its light. Beyond the moon, it embraced the stars in its arms. It doesn't refuse the sick, the hateful or the mistreated.

After the rain, memories came to beat against the wave with the wind. What a serenade. To be beautiful, all slaves or princesses."

The lyrics depict a mystical and mysterious scene in which a beast seems to have some sort of power to create stars out of the stones it touches. The lyrics also mention the wind, winter, and rain, which add to the imagery of the setting. The second stanza suggests that the beast, despite its power, is vulnerable and has lost its light. However, it is still capable of embracing those who are sick, hateful, or mistreated. The final line of the lyrics poses a philosophical question about the nature of beauty and whether it applies to all, regardless of their status as slaves or princesses.

Official lyrics from DL OST:

On a deep, dark night, in a grassy field,
a best struck flint, making stars.
Wind blew past, howling, stirring up the winter.

Light had long forsaken the beast;
only the moon's glow did it know,
and the stars held in its arms.
It welcomed its pain, hatred, savagery.

Memories surged like the waves after rain:
a sweet, sweet serenade,
and the slave became as beautiful as a queen.

If you are in need of money, then take some of the furniture. There's a town nearby where you can sell it or trade it for goods, then use the money and go to a better town.

Selim Ibarra and that is how their happy story began, lol

@TheHouseInFataMorgana

This is my personal favorite track on the OST. Favorite track from any VN or video game, actually.

Haunting, unique, and beautiful.

The House in Fata Morgana like something you didn’t want to forget and now desperately try to remember. A memory laced with sadness tumbling through you mind, just out of reach.

@michaellucas1200

It honestly makes me tear up just listening to it. It kind of conveys the feeling of beauty in solitude. It conveys alot of things. Whoever created the music to this VN is a genius. A lot of memes going around about people not crying during Titanic. I think you haven't truly cried until you've read The House in Fata Morgana. I've read many books and many VNs, and I still claim to this day that The House in Fata Morgana is the best story I've ever read and it is truly a shame how underrated it is.

@scarlet5309

@@michaellucas1200 Are there any stories that even come close to it? Could you recommend something? I feel like I'll never find anything as otherwordly and wonderful as Fata Morgana.

@@scarlet5309 The closest things I've come across that feel similar to The House in Fata Morgana a bit are Cartagra: Affliction of the Soul, and the Kara no Shoujo series. Cartagra is like a prequel to Kara no Shoujo, and Kara no Shoujo is much sadder because it doesn't end very happily. I'm on Kara no Shoujo 2 now, but I doubt it'll end well either. And Kara no Shoujo 3 is in development now, I think. But it deals with similar themes like identity, love, loneliness, obsession, loss, paranoia, murder, etc. It's very dark. And unlike The House in Fata Morgana where it ends things happily after a lot of suffering, Kara no Shoujo just leaves you with a bit of a hole. The first one ends with you not knowing what happens to the main heroine, and the 2nd one starts with you searching for her, and I have a feeling it's not going to wrap it up in a bow. It's a lot darker and sadder than I thought it'd be, and it's pretty twisted.

What a beautiful story. Much better than the real thing, is it not, my dear?

gronndar That nice hidden detail. I think Michel heard her voice during the 4th wall narration, like in the 2nd saw Pauline
