Amar y Dejar Partir
Pedro Aznar Lyrics

Amar y dejar partir
Quién pudiera tan liviano fluir
Cuando no esté ... me harás florecer
En tu recuerdo ... Y seré ... Seré
The lyrics to Pedro Aznar's song "Amar y Dejar Partir" are poetic and profound, evoking the bittersweet nature of love and loss. The opening lines state that everything that begins must eventually come to an end, comparing our existence to raindrops in a river that flows endlessly. The following lines express the notion that everything leaves us and we must continue on, akin to a waving handkerchief that represents life itself.
The song takes on a melancholic tone as it speaks to the inevitability of life's transient nature, exploring the idea that even when someone we love is no longer with us physically, they still exist within us as a memory, represented by a thread of light that shines within us. The lyrics then turn inward, reflecting on the journey of life and how our experiences shape us. The singer laments that he is nothing more now than the hugs he has given, perhaps acknowledging the fleeting nature of our time on earth.
The chorus speaks to the wisdom of love and loss, acknowledging that while it can be painful to let go, it is necessary to move forward. The final lines offer a sense of hope and comfort, suggesting that even when someone is gone, they can live on within us and help us continue to grow and flourish.
Overall, the lyrics to "Amar y Dejar Partir" are a poignant meditation on the complexities of love and loss, and the inevitability of change and impermanence in life.
