Pizzicato Five Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Pizzicato Five's song (Marble Index) depict a playful and colorful scene where the singer suggests mixing different emotions and moods together in a cup. With a pink heart and an indigo mood as a starting point, they propose adding a mellow yellow and even a purple feeling. The idea is to stir and mix these emotions until they become something entirely new, constantly changing and evolving. The lyrics also mention how the resulting patterns created by this swirling of emotions can be distorted or torn, yet ultimately beautiful. The singer encourages the listener to try this experiment of blending colors and emotions within the cup, highlighting the fascinating complexity and beauty that can be discovered in this process.

Muito obrigado. 😎

Mac Rebant

We demand their catalog be finally reissued!

this group is crazy...I love their music

fvelazqzu

I don’t understand why this amazing album hasn’t been reissued on CD

Wobert Music

I was wondering the exact same thing. Same with just about all the rest of their albums. At the very least, their albums could be made available on streaming services. That would at least provide a little bit of royalties to them instead of people just listening to them on YouTube.

fvelazqzu

Wobert Music I really find it weird, since the Japanese like to make fantastic reissues of old records. Let’s hope it gets reissued one of these days.

BarnardoP

Has of course been re-released within the Japanese market, but most original P5 albums do not have commercial international distribution deals (except for the music as repackaged by the Matador CDs). The international streaming services are similarly restricted, unfortunately.

duraosunda

Why do it? The industry is doing well with Beyonce, stuff like that.
