In 2000, Jen, Tian and Chen signed up for a singing contest, and the winner, Ren, was awarded a record contract. Tian and Chen, who were both finalists, joined Ren to form S.H.E. The trio frequently covers songs by other artists, and performs original compositions. The group produces albums under the HIM International Music label. Avex Asia distributed S.H.E's music in Hong Kong, but transferred this role to WOW Music in 2007. EMI Music China is the distributor in Singapore and the People's Republic of China.
Too Late

Don't want my feelings to show
It's getting harder to hide
That's how this shit seems to go
I've been through shit in my life
Hate being sad and alone
I need you right by my side
I think I'm losing control
Before I fall and it's all too late
Show me the way
Before I'm gone and it's all too late
Lost in the dark
Can't seem to escape my mind
I've been down all from the start
Look at the pain in my eyes
So many wounds in my heart
It's eating me up inside
This life shits getting so hard
Please save me I need a sign
Show me the way
Before I fall and it's all too late
Show me the way
Before I'm gone and it's all too late
All too late
All too late
All too late
All too late
All too late
All too late
In S.H.E's song Too Late, the lyrics appear to address a failed romantic relationship that has gone sour. The chorus, "It's too late for you, it's too late," suggests that the singer has given the other person many chances to make things right, but they have failed to do so. The singer is tired of being lied to, and thinks it is better for the other person to find their own way away from the relationship. The song seems to have a theme of empowerment, with the singer asserting their strength and self-worth over the other person.
The verses contain lines about the singer's commitment to their own work and hustle, with lines like "Wedding Ring finger no band cause I'm married to game" and "Hustle in my vine." The singer seems to be focused on their own success, and suggests that the other person may be jealous or not on the same wavelength. There are also lines about the other person being two-faced, texting in sadness but smiling in person, and not being able to handle the singer's independence ("Say you get nervous when I'm out on my day").
Throughout the song, the singer seems to be pushing back against the other person's attempts to hold them back or bring them down. The repeated "it's too late" mantra reinforces the idea that the singer has moved on and is ready to leave the relationship behind.
