Sarah Àlainn, originally from Sydney, began studying the violin from the age of 5. She studied under Perry Hart, the star pupil of Szymon Goldberg who at the age of 20 became the concertmaster for the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 2012 Sarah signed a record deal with Universal Music Japan releasing her debut album ‘Celeste’ which reached #1 on the iTunes Japan Vocal Charts. Her second album, SARAH produced by Yasunori Mitsuda, was released in 2014 reaching #1 in the Billboard Japan Classical charts, her 13th entry into the Japanese music charts. She released her self-produced albums ‘f’ and ‘ANIMA’, her single ‘Little Doll’ reaching #1 on the iTunes Classical charts upon the day of its release. Sarah writes lyrics in English, Japanese, Italian and Latin.

To Far Away Times
Sarah Àlainn Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
When light fades away
Will we meet again?
Hope shining on an aching soul
Though fate must let you go,
A new dawn begins
Remembering faraway lands
Time to reflect and understand
Carries you to faraway times
Lyrics continue below
Come with me, on the horizon lies
A kingdom of the dreams
Together we freed
Now, fears relieved for eternity
The shadows fade away
Our time draws near
Can't, stop the tears from falling
Run, now the gates are closing
Time bears a silver lining
(Ohh) Why say we've come now to the end
You and I will meet again
We are one eternally
What lies beyond our sky
Visions of another life
The memories of light
Calling from a distant night
Feel the music floating through endless skies
Off to far away times
The song "To Far Away Times" by Sarah Àlainn begins with a plea to leave the present behind and sail away towards the horizon. The line "When light fades away, will we meet again?" suggests that the singer and the listener may not see each other anytime soon. However, hope still lingers on, shining on their aching souls. Fate may be cruel, but the dawn of a new beginning always follows.
As the song progresses, the singer invites the listener to join them on a kingdom of dreams, where their fears will be relieved for eternity. The shadows fade away, and the gates begin to close. Though time may bear a silver lining, the singer cannot help but cry as they bid farewell.
The final verse hints at a reunion in the future. Even though the present may be coming to an end, the promise clenched in their hands carries them to faraway times. The memories of light call out from a distant night, prompting them to feel the music floating through endless skies.
Overall, "To Far Away Times" is a song about change, loss, hope, and eternal bond. It speaks of the bittersweet nature of life and the inevitability of change, but also the comfort of knowing that some things will last forever.
