1. SEVENTEEN (세븐틴) is a 13 member South Korean boy group under Pledis Entertainment. The group consists of S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun (文俊辉), Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, THE 8, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino.
On December 2012, Pledis Entertainment announced the release of “SEVENTEEN TV”, which is a pre-debut training show where fans could evaluate the boys training. Originally starting with 17 trainees, after 5 running seasons of 17TV, members were removed leaving 13 fixed members. The group debuted on May 26, 2015 with a debut showcase. Seventeen is the first Korean pop group to debut with a 1-hour live showcase on a major broadcasting channel. Three days after debut, the extended play 17 CARAT was digitally released along with the music video for their title track, called "Adore U (아낀다)". It was revealed that the extended play was mostly composed and produced by the members themselves.

The guys went on to adapt their style to be darker, harder-edged, and more punk-influenced, and they reformed as the Alarm, which had more commercial success. what do you mean they haven't had a good past or showcasing their talent? I understand they haven't been on many shows to showcase it like 'Hit The Stage' for their dancing skills etc but they have been on other shows like masked singer etc. and i agree that they need more opportunities to show it to new fans. Everyone has different preferences, and what got them popularity in the first place was their unique, fresh, teenage, bright concept.
They created everything themselves and people love them for their authenticity and self-producing and talent. You don't see groups like Seventeen these days. Tbh I don't like it when people only talk about groups with hard, strong concepts like they're the only ones showing talent. Not to hate but groups like BTS, BigBang, EXO, GOT7, they all mainly have that once concept that draws international fans in and that is generally hip hop, dark etc. I don't think it's fair only groups like this are recognised when their concepts are getting overused these days too and you don't see many diverse, unique groups like Seventeen.
A good talented group is well rounded and can do a diversity of things like Seventeen. The only thing is that the dark, hardcore, hip hop concepts appeal more to international fans and thats what they like more and catches their attention that's what I'm talking about. I think people especially international fans new to svt don't realise that they only started liking Seventeen once they did a concept like this, when their fans have always loved their bright cute concepts and we can see their talent just from that and not only concepts like this.
That's why Seventeen has their own style. tbh if Seventeen started out as a group doing that generic concept every other boy group does like hip hop dark etc. they would be forgotten quick, also it doesn't express their image well. With the fresh, bright concepts they make a name for themselves, people instantly label their songs as 'cute' when there's so much more to it. People shouldn't judge so quickly and look more into group and hear more songs from them. That's what I do and end up liking so many groups because I'm not close minded and judge straight away.
And i dont really understand the 'lowkey reputation' bit? They've also always showed songs that show their good skill and talent from singing and dancing. It's not just songs like this that show it. You can see it from their side tracks in their albums, they have sucha wide diversity of genres that people miss who dont see Seventeen closely. The songs they've already shown were created themselves which is already amazing and they're not 'too soft', it's not always the strong images that show a groups talent.

lmao it's funny to think that some people who didn't like seventeen are saying "wow I like these guys, who are they" after watching this video, altho this is seventeen's performance unit.😂 honestly guys, svt can do more than you could ever imagine, they don't deserve to be slept on. At least not before you actually check their songs out :)

Jacqueline seventeen have 3 sub-units; vocal, hip hop, and performance. vocal has 5 members, and hip hop and perf both have 4. performance unit choreographs all their songs along with their actual choreographer who helps them (heard they only help with title tracks but all other tracks are 100% the perf unit who choreographs but i'm not sure) and they, well, are the best performers/dancers in the group. Althoug that doesn't mean they don't habe other parts in the group since 3/4 of the perf unit are vocals and 1 is a rapper

Jacqueline performance unit is one of seventeen's 3 units (vocal unit, hip hop unit and performance unit) :) hoshi (the one with black hair), who is the leader of performance team choreographs seventeen's dances. The rest of perf unit also helps him with that😊 hoshi has also composed this song btw :)
Hip hop unit makes rap for svt's songs and makes mixtapes like 'check in' for example.
The leader of vocal unit (woozi) makes most of svt's songs (basically all of svt's title tracks are made by him and bumzu). Vocal unit also does stuff like singing acoustic versions of svt's songs, and joshua is the one who does the re-arranging for that😊

Well they not so much "slip" as "accidentally bungee jump into a pit full of diamonds" but I do agree it's relaxing and brings a smile to my face
