Everyone’s just except edelgard. She may think she’s just but her whole war against the church was completely unnecessary.
1) she blames the church for crests and the discrimination they cause? Blame humans for that. The church publically stated that it’s against crest discrimination and supports research into crests to give normal people crests. Hanneman eventually succeeds in creating this object.

2) she allies with those who slither in the dark, the real people she should be angry at. Those are the people who spark conflict in fodlan and are the ones behind the scenes performing experiments on crests and killing her siblings.

3) she claims that all dragons are evil and should leave humanity alone. So I’m guessing she thinks characters like corrin and tiki are also evil simply because they’re dragons. Just because someone is a dragon doesn’t mean they’re evil.

4) she tries to kill Claude and Dimitri in the beginning of the game with the bandits.

I can list so many more reasons why I hate edelgard. The only reason why people like her is because she’s a girl.

@Fujin Yumi I think edelgard is a wonderful character and amazing antagonist, not protagonist. Currently going through CF and yes, she did everything wrong. Her views on the church/rhea/nabatheans are either half truths or outright lies thanks to the meddling of those who rave in the dark having their slimy grasp on the empire's royal family for what seems to be generations and this groomed into being their match to light the bonfire that is fodlan.

There are a few points that i do belive edie is right such as the church should't have such a massive influence over fodlan and rhea is unfit to rule.

But alot of things in CF feel rushed such as the resolution of raving mole people being eradicated and edelgard not being challeged by her peers to explain herself.

espio329 Her views on the church having power aren’t even correct. The church has hardly any power over the empires. The empires could easily say “we don’t want to follow your religion anymore” and Rhea would be like “okay”. Rhea will only care if the empires start causing wars and disrupting the peace. The church only seems to have cultural value in fodlan. Nothing more.

My PTSD will always remember this song when I go through hours of replacing everyone's equipment, adjutants set ups, buying all the equipment and items I needed for the moment, going through all of my character's weapons to see who needs them repaired, upgrading my equipment, hearing "IS THAT- IS THAT- IS THAT- IS THAT- IS-IS-IS-IS- IS THAT THE ONE?" This has probably been the song that’s grown on me the most over the course of playing the game. There’s so many good songs to choose from on this OST, but this almost feels like something out of a movie. All those involved did an excellent job with this.

And here I had to do things the hard way. Which is to say blocking Petra's path to my army with 70 HP Raphael and Alois with flayn helping with the healing every time she crits them when they're unarmed. The feeling of Storming Edelgard's room and having Byleth one shot crit her without having to kill Petra or Dorothea was legendary, but you just make it look like too much work lol

When this battle prep theme came on post time-skip, man...

It's like you felt the shift in the story. All of a sudden "Swift as Wind" sounds so heroic and hopeful, while "Fierce as Fire" now sounds dreadful... like there's now a sense of impending doom because people might die in this war.

This isn't a mock battle between the 3 Houses. This is real.

I’ve really grown to appreciate this song and how well it gets you into the mindset of “This is a war. We must prepare, we must plan, we must strategize, we must make our move.” It really sets the tone very well. While I liked the pre timeskip preparations theme more, this one is very solid as well.

(English is not my first language and I'm learning alone by listening to music, let me know if I make any mistake)

My first route was Crimson Flower (a badass female axe-wielding, heavy-armoured lord who gets the shit done was something I couldn't resist, sorry not sorry!) so, when I first listen to this after the timeskip I knew in my heart that the war was inevitable and I would have to kill all my former students, friends and coworkers from Garreg Mach. The emotional charge was powerful, was big, was heavy and this piece makes the perfect job representing all the sensations and feelings that you get at that moment. Is kill or be killed for the sake of my own ideals.
