The Medley
The Beatles Lyrics

Roll up, roll up for the magical mystery tour
Step right this way

Roll up, roll up for the magical mystery tour
Roll up, roll up for the mystery tour
The magical mystery tour is waiting
To take you away
Waiting to take you away, take you today

There's nothing you can do that can't be done
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung
Nothing you can say but you can
Learn how to play the game it's easy

All you need is love all you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

Everywhere people stare each and every day
I can see them laugh at me
And I hear them say

Hey you've got to hide your love away
Hey you've got to hide your love away
Wo, wo, I never realized what a kiss could be
This could only happen to me can't you see?
Can't you see?

That when I tell you that I love you, oh
You're gonna say you love me too, oh
And when I ask you to be mine
You're gonna say you love me too

It's been a hard day's night
And I've been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night
I should be sleeping like a log

But when I get home to you
I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright whoa

I think I'm gonna be sad
I think it's today, yeah
The girl that's driving me mad is going away

She's got a ticker to ride
She's got a ticker to ride
She's got a ticker to ride
And she don't care
Jojo was a man who thought he was a loner
But he knew it couldn't last
Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona
For some California grass

Get back, get back
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back
Get back to where you once belonged

Do

John supposedly hated this medley but it always brings a smile to my face. I never get tired of listening to it. I think it's one of the best things the Beatles ever did.

@ozzymd1

It was mostly Paul's contribution and they weren't on the best of friends status !

@timothyivey5497

My favorite Beatles album. And I know about John's opinion. He was a jerk...but not really lol. He just didn't think it was rock n roll enough.

@timothyivey5497

He just wanted to keep sleeping on the stage when he was 18.

@musiccollector

Then again, what did John know?

@skidancin

@@musiccollectorJohn knew a lot. But this is very reminiscent of Paul's later works like RAM, now that I think about it. The blend of the 2 styles could have worked well throughout their lives had they held it together.

you can leave the beatles for a while and listen to other stuff but, when you come back...just WOW !! it hits you again just how good they were.

@emau2459

They had an otherworldly force behind their music, was it just love?

@edu-lins

@@emau2459As an artist myself, I notice the best skill one can have is to be able to hear what is playing inside one's head (lyrics, melodies and harmonies) and to translate all of that to the “physical”. Once you learn an instrument, the translating part is not that difficult. The real work lies in learning to hear (or receive) your art. The best artists are the ones that have their channels very open, and The Beatles did it like no one else. So besides love, there is also truth — they were absolutely true to themselves. This is translated in their performances and freedom of production. Even Ringo shared this core honesty, so if the song asked him to record an extra snare or maybe only a tambourine the whole song, that's what he would do. So they treated each song as if it were its own world.

@Albo96286

This just happened.
