Da buducnost nema sjaja
Moj je narod savio ramena
A bio je hrabriji od zmaja
Mili Boze apsurdnih vremena
Kako li se nositi sa time
Sad partija opet pravdu dijeli
Cesto Jude pravednima sude
Svaku obijest kaznila je povijest
Ref.
Nema predaje
Pjevajmo sinovi pobjede
Mogu nas lomiti
Al′ nece slomiti
Kad nam srca budu zajedno
Nema predaje
Pjevajmo sinovi pobjede
Oni ce mrziti
Mi cemo ljubiti
Svaku stopu svog
Doma jedinog
Mili Boze je li to moguce
Prkosili i bombi i metku
Izborili Hrvatsko svanuce
Sad smo opet na pocetku
Dobivamo politicke pljuske
Iskrivljuju povijest u tisini
Vodaju nas kao male guske
A pobjednici na margini
Cesto Jude pravednima sude
Svaku obijest kaznila je povijest
Ref.
Zapucat ce gromovi
Ugasit ce svijece
Sve zivote i ljepote
Al' ideju nece
Dignut ce se grobovi
Za pobjede nove
Gdje ste sada sokolovi
Obranimo snove
The song "Nema Predaje" by Thompson is a powerful anthem that reflects on the challenging times and struggles faced by the Croatian people. The lyrics convey a sense of disillusionment and frustration with the current state of affairs, as well as a rallying call to unite and persevere.
The opening lines of the song, "Mili Boze cudnih li vremena, Da buducnost nema sjaja," express a lamentation for the strange and uncertain times, where the future seems bleak and lacks brilliance. The following line, "Moj je narod savio ramena, A bio je hrabriji od zmaja," speaks to the resilience and courage of the Croatian people, who have now become disheartened and downtrodden.
The chorus, "Nema predaje, Pjevajmo sinovi pobjede," translates to "No surrender, Let us sing the sons of victory." This refrain emphasizes the refusal to give up and the determination to carry on despite the challenges faced. It serves as a call to unite and celebrate the spirit of triumph.
The song also touches on the manipulation and distortion of history, with the line "Dobivamo politicke pljuske, Iskrivljuju povijest u tisini" meaning "We receive political slaps, They distort history in silence." This highlights the frustration towards the erasure or misrepresentation of the true narrative of Croatia's struggles and triumphs.
Overall, "Nema Predaje" captures the spirit of resilience, determination, and unity in the face of adversity, serving as an anthem for the Croatian people's unwavering spirit.

Mili Boze cudnih li vremena
Oh dear God, what strange times
Da buducnost nema sjaja
Where the future has no brightness
Moj je narod savio ramena
My people have bowed their shoulders
A bio je hrabriji od zmaja
Yet they were braver than a dragon
Mili Boze apsurdnih vremena
Oh dear God, what absurd times
Kako li se nositi sa time
How to deal with it
Sad partija opet pravdu dijeli
Now the party is distributing justice again
A Hrvatsku nisu htjeli
But they didn't want Croatia
Cesto Jude pravednima sude
Often Jews judge the righteous
Svaku obijest kaznila je povijest
History has punished every outrage
Nema predaje
There is no surrender
Pjevajmo sinovi pobjede
Let the sons of victory sing
Mogu nas lomiti
They can break us
Al′ nece slomiti
But they won't crush us
Kad nam srca budu zajedno
When our hearts are united
Oni ce mrziti
They will hate
Mi cemo ljubiti
We will love
Svaku stopu svog Doma jedinog
Every step of our one home
Mili Boze je li to moguce
Oh dear God, is it possible
Prkosili i bombi i metku
Defying bombs and bullets
Izborili Hrvatsko svanuce
Achieved the dawn of Croatia
Sad smo opet na pocetku
Now we're back at the beginning
Dobivamo politicke pljuske
We receive political slaps
Iskrivljuju povijest u tisini
Twisting history in silence
Vodaju nas kao male guske
Leading us like little geese
A pobjednici na margini
And the winners on the margins
Zapucat ce gromovi
Thunder will strike
Ugasit ce svijece
Candles will go out
Sve zivote i ljepote
All lives and beauties
Al' ideju nece
But the idea won't
Dignut ce se grobovi
The graves will rise
Za pobjede nove
For new victories
Gdje ste sada sokolovi
Where are you falcons now
Obranimo snove
Let's defend our dreams
