His 2001's debut album, Rosso Relativo was characterized by a R&B/hip-hop flavor (although there was some controversy when the Italian satirical TV show Le Iene pointed out the similarity between his first hit single "Perdono" and a previous song by R.Kelly called "Did You Ever Think"). The Spanish version of this album was called Rojo Relativo and fared very well throughout Spanish-speaking parts of the world. In late 2003, Ferro released his second album, 111 Centoundici. It affirmed his place as one of Italy's top pop stars. In 2006 his third studio album Nessuno è solo was released and debuted at number one in Italy and Argentina. It debuted at #10 in Chile, and #11 in Spain. The album was certified triple platinum. Tiziano released his new CD, titled Alla Mia Età in 2008.

In "Ti Scatterò Una Foto," Tiziano Ferro describes the pain of trying to move on from a past relationship but constantly being reminded of the person. The first verse indicates that Ferro will always remember the person, and despite not wanting to, he will eventually marry them. However, this is juxtaposed with the chorus where he takes photos to remember the person as they slip away. Ferro desires the return of his lost love, but he also wants indifference from them if they plan to hurt him.

Era il cantante preferito di mia madre, prima che mi lasciasse nel 2009... ascoltava sempre le canzoni di Tiziano Ferro e ogni volta che ne riascolto una è come se lei fosse accanto a me e me le cantasse... in particolare questa era la sua canzone preferita, ed il testo è come se fosse scritto da lei stessa.
