After Bill Kaulitz’s participation in a children’s Star Search in 2003 at age thirteen (which he lost in the quarter-final), he was discovered by music producer Peter Hoffmann. Devilish changed their name to Tokio Hotel: “Tokio” is the German spelling of the Japanese city Tokyo, due to a love of the city, and “Hotel” due to their constant touring and living in hotels.
Soon after Sony BMG took them under contract, Hoffmann hired David Jost and Pat Benzner into the team of creators and authors, and had them give the teens instruction on songwriting and instrument playing; most of the songs of the first album were written by Hoffmann, Jost and Benzer (including the singles Scream and Rescue Me which were completely written by them), only the single Unendlichkeit was written completely by Tokio Hotel themselves. However, shortly before release of their first album, Sony terminated their contract. In 2005, Universal Music Group took Tokio Hotel under contract and developed a marketing plan. The band has now become one of the biggest acts originating from Germany, The bands success has reached The United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, France and various other countries.
Tokio Hotel released the album "Humanoid" in Europe And the United States, With translations in German and English.

The lyrics to Tokio Hotel's song Spring nicht (Don't Jump) are about a person who is standing on a rooftop, contemplating suicide. They feel alone, lost, and that the world is meaningless. The singer, presumably a friend or loved one, is pleading with the person not to jump. They scream into the night for the person not to abandon them, reminding them of the love that is between them. The singer understands that the person is in deep pain, and offers a hand to hold onto and a chance to start anew.
The song provides an honest and compassionate look at suicide and the struggles that people go through. It encourages people to seek help and reminds them that things can get better with time and support. The lyrics also suggest that sometimes, in order to save someone else's life, we need to be willing to take a risk and support them in ways that may be uncomfortable or challenging.
Overall, the lyrics to Spring nicht provide a powerful and emotional message to those who may be struggling with suicidal thoughts or feelings of hopelessness. The song encourages people to seek help and to remember the people who love and care for them.

It's year 2018. I'm 23 years old. I have my own apartment, lovely circle of friends and a boyfriend of 7 years, I work in medicine as I had wished, my family is somewhat healthy and well. I would've never imagined I'd be as happy as I am now. I own a lot of it to Tokio Hotel, their music and their lyrics, these four amazing people. I haven't listened to them in a long, long while and randomly stumbled upon this video today. I got shivers. In the desperate times of my teenage years when a lot of things in my life were going wrong, TH gave me strength and hope to carry on to this point where I am today. I'm so thankful.

Aww.. Same girl. I feel ya on that, this band was my everything when I was growing up. My parents were strict af and always fighting eachother or me, and this band kept me strong aswell.. I used to cry because I felt Bill's sadness as my own, because I could so closely relate to the emotion in both his voice and lyrics. I'm glad to see someone with such lovely things to say and such appreciation for this band still as an adult. Many people have moved on, but we still stay. xx Cheers. 🖤
