Take away your hand, give your heart a brand new start
'Cause he’s here, he still here and he is crazy
He’s here, he still here, well he is crazy, crazy
Oh, little one, don't forget where you come from
'Cause you know we are one, I am his son, be the little one
'Cause he’s here, he still here and he is crazy
He’s here, he still here and he is crazy, crazy
And sing your favourite song, oh-oh
Oh, he’s here, he still here and he is crazy
He’s here, he still here and he is crazy
He’s here, he still here and is crazy
He’s here, he still here and he is crazy
The lyrics to Ty Segall's song "Crazy" speak to the idea of overcoming past traumas and staying grounded in one's identity. The "little one" referred to in the song is perhaps a representation of a young person who has experienced pain and heartache in their life. The line "you got your hand over your heart" could be interpreted as a gesture of protection or fear from being hurt again. However, the song encourages the listener to let go of their fears and start anew by giving their heart a "brand new start." This could mean being open to new experiences and relationships in order to heal from past pain.
The next lines refer to someone else who is "still here and he is crazy." This could be seen as a warning to the listener to be wary of certain people who may have caused them harm in the past. However, the repetitive nature of this line suggests that this person has not left and may still have an impact on the listener's life. Despite this, the song encourages the listener to embrace their true identity and remember where they come from, as they are "one" with their past experiences. The line "be the little one" could also be interpreted as a call to return to a simpler time, where the listener wasn't burdened by the weight of their experiences.
Overall, "Crazy" is a song that encourages the listener to overcome past traumas, embrace their true identity, and move forward despite the presence of negative influences in their life.
