Valeria Lynch's song "Qué mal elegiste" is a powerful break-up song that highlights the hurtful consequences of choosing someone else over the one you love. The lyrics tell the story of a woman who has been rejected by her partner for someone else. She is hurt and angry as she points out the flaws of the new woman in her ex-partner's life. She repeatedly tells him, "Qué mal elegiste," which can be translated to "You chose poorly" or "You made a bad choice."
The lyrics are full of resentment and frustration as the singer compares herself to the new partner, saying "No fue ni la sombra de lo que conmigo viviste" ("She wasn't even a shadow of what you lived with me"). She also accuses her ex of lacking shame in comparing her to the new partner who couldn't even kiss properly. In a sense, the song is a warning to her ex-partner that he has made a grave mistake in letting her go because he will never find anyone like her.
Overall, the song is a testament to the enduring pain of a broken heart and the difficulty in moving on from a relationship that meant so much. The powerful lyrics and Valeria Lynch's passionate voice make this song a must-listen for anyone who has ever experienced heartbreak.
