In 1991, after the recording of its first demo-tape, White Skull was noticed by the audience and the specialized Italian metal press. The band started a live-promotion in order to increase its own experience. In May 1994, WS released their second demo entitled "Save the Planet", which received excellent reviews.
Excellent reviews and extensive live appearances brought the band in touch with a few Italian labels. However, their music was considered "not suitable for the market"… thus, the guys were asked to change sound and music style. Being fond of classical Heavy Metal and followers of bands like Iron Maiden, Helloween, Scorpions, Black Sabbath and Saxon, the Skulls decided to go on with their type of music, because of their belief in true Metal life-style. White Skull then contributed to two Heavy Metal compilation:
* "Nightpieces 4" (in January 1995) and "Area Sismica" (in June 1995).

Mothman Prophecies
White Skull Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I crash my car in on a stone
I saw an alien in front of me
A lot of people have the same dream
Don't talk about it, but believe and save your life
I lost my wife and I want the truth
Search for the meaning for that incubus
Chorus:
Prophecies we are not dreamers
Mothman is the voice from the space
Drive and drive in a land so far
Another place where people die
I arrive but I don't know where
Here I breathe a strange atmosphere
Watch the nightmare and the world is in your hands
Every night Mothman appears to you
Evil creature shows you the truth
But I don't understand how to smell the death
Chorus:
Prophecies we are not dreamers
Mothman is the voice from the space
Nightmare shows us the future
It's not a dream it's the prophecy
Darkness, sadness and lots of nights
Another vision is coming soon
Screaming, water, fire and blood
A lot of people trapped on the bridge
I see him the Mothman wants to tell me
Save the people from the tragedy
Is the last prophecy
The lyrics of White Skull's song Mothman Prophecies describe the experiences and beliefs of someone who has encountered the Mothman, a legendary creature purportedly seen in the Point Pleasant area of West Virginia in the 1960s. The singer of the song appears to have had a series of disturbing encounters with the Mothman, which have left him haunted and confused.
The opening lines of the song describe a car accident that the singer believes was caused by the Mothman, and the subsequent appearance of an alien. The chorus repeats the idea that the Mothman is a prophetic figure, and suggests that those who have experienced his presence are not just dreaming. Later in the song, the singer describes arriving in an unfamiliar place and experiencing a "strange atmosphere", which is presumably caused by the Mothman's influence.
The final verse of the song describes a vision of a catastrophic event, in which many people are trapped on a bridge. The Mothman appears again, and urges the singer to "save the people from the tragedy". The lyrics suggest that the Mothman is a figure of warning, who appears to individuals to communicate impending danger.
Overall, the song seems to be an exploration of the idea of prophecy, and the ways in which we interpret signs and symbols that seem to point towards a particular future. The Mothman is depicted as a mysterious and frightening figure, but also one who holds valuable knowledge about the future.
