The single was released on January 18, 2000, and promptly charted worldwide, becoming a number one hit on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart, peaking at number two on the UK Singles Chart, and crossing over to pop radio and peaking at number six on the Billboard Hot 100. The song remains the band's most successful single to date, being their only song to break the Top 40. The song charted within the top 20 in ten other countries, and gained greater significance due to its accompanying music video, which parodies and mocks the boy bands Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, and 'N Sync and the pop singers Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. The video was popular in rotation on MTV's Total Request Live, leading to criticism from those who felt their basis for parody was thin.
"All the Small Things" was selected by Rolling Stone as one of the "100 Greatest Pop Songs", and is listed in the 2010 book 1001 Songs You Must Hear Before You Die.

True care, truth brings
I'll take one lift
Your ride, best trip
Always, I know
You'll be at my show
Watching, waiting
Commiserating
Say it ain't so, I will not go
Turn the lights off, carry me home
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Late night, come home
Work sucks, I know
She left me roses by the stairs
Surprises let me know she cares
Say it ain't so, I will not go
Turn the lights off, carry me home
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Say it ain't so, I will not go
Turn the lights off, carry me home
Keep your head still, I'll be your thrill
The night will go on, my little windmill
Say it ain't so, I will not go (na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na)
Turn the lights off, carry me home (na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na)
Keep your head still, I'll be your thrill (na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na)
The night will go on (na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na)
The night will go on (na-na, na, na)
My little windmill
The song All the Small Things by blink-182 is a catchy pop-punk ballad thatโs often cited as one of the band's most popular and timeless tracks. The lyrics are about appreciating the little things in a relationship and the importance of communication and trust. The line "All the small things, true care, truth brings" suggests that it's the small gestures and acts of kindness in a relationship that matter the most, and that both partners should be truthful with each other. The line "I'll take one lift, your ride, best trip" is a reference to taking an elevator with someone, symbolising the intimacy shared between two people. The line "Always, I know you'll be at my show, watching, waiting, commiserating" suggests that regardless of what happens, the partner will always be present to support and empathise with the singer.
The chorus of the song, "Say it ain't so, I will not go, turn the lights off, carry me home," could be interpreted in different ways. It could mean that the singer doesnโt want to leave the safety and comfort of their relationship, and wants their partner to carry them through lifeโs struggles. The part "Late night, come home, work sucks, I know, she left me roses by the stairs, surprises let me know she cares" suggests that the partner is understanding and caring, taking care of the singer even when they aren't together.
Overall, the song All the Small Things highlights the importance of trust, honesty, and communication in relationships. Itโs a fun and upbeat track thatโs easy to sing along to, and it continues to capture the hearts of listeners even after all these years.

Yo i feel you. Welcome to the Blink182 world my friend.. from now on you'll understand what severe addiction really is.. you'll listen to their songs and watch to their videos to exhaustion, over and over again.. you'll probably dream that you met them in person and are hanging out / having a good time with one or more of them.
You'll discover that you were born gifted with a great talent related to music.. and that is: when you hear songs you have the ability to learn and remember songs lyrics VERY fast.... Blink182 songs lyrics to be more specific.
This band means so much for so many people, me included.. i literally learned how to play guitar, bass and drums because of them, and i can play +-80% of their songs on each instrument.
I'm a brazilian and unfortunelly Blink182 never came to Brazil.
When they were at their peak they were coming to Brazil to play some shows but a few days before it happens Travis hurted one of his feet and couldnt play the drums for some weeks.. so they had to cancel the shows in Brazil.
But it's ok... i'm grateful for having access to all of their songs and videos on the internet.

Unless you were 6 when this was released and jammed out to it on your best friend neighbors cd player. My mom bought me a light blue boom box you could use either batteries or the cord to play this cd. I wish music still sounded like this. Rock is dead
