No Room In Frame
Death Cab for Cutie Lyrics
I don't know where to begin
There's too many things that I can't remember
As I disappeared like a trend
In the hum of the 5 in the early morning
And now I'm taking my time
Up through Coalinga through the valley
This highway lived in my mind
It takes me back to the place that made me
Was I in your way
When the cameras turned to face you?
No room in frame
For two
You cannot outrun a ghost
Speeding south bound lanes with abandon
It catches you on the coast
Or on the cliffs of the Palisades you killed the engine
And then it hovers above
Reeling bodies failing to discover
The thing they once knew as love
Raising their voices to convince one another
Was I in your way
When the cameras turned to face you?
No room in frame
For two
How can I stay
In the sun
When the rain flows
All through my veins
It's true
And I guess it's not a failure we could help
And we'll both go on to get lonely with someone else
With someone else
Was I in your way
When the cameras turned to face you?
No room in frame
For two
How can I stay
In the sun
When the rain flows
All through my veins
It's true
And I guess it's not a failure we could help
And we'll both go on to get lonely with someone else

I can't believe these people who are saying things like "I'm glad he's going through divorce," or "his codes and keys was bad because he was happy." If you really appreciate a man and his talents, and call yourself a fan, you grow with the band and appreciate different sounds. Appreciate the versatility of the band if they are capable of doing it well. I also appreciate this song as much as anyone here and the lyric really hits you ('and we'll both go on to get lonely with someone else' wow) but I'm not happy a man is going/went through a divorce. I'm grateful that he chose to channel that into making beautiful music and share it with us. And hopefully he found some peace along the way as he let it out.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions but man, people can be heartless sometimes.

So true. I can’t even play music around my friends. Just yesterday I got jabbed for liking a RHCP song. Yep it’s headphones only for me

And honestly codes and keys was an album where they were trying to experiment more so it probably wasn’t as natural to them and maybe was a bit more outside their wheelhouse which is why a lot ppl like it less. It’s not my fav from them, but it’s still solid

I’ve been guilty of making this joke before too 😪. It’s so easy to forget that public figures are people too, they have emotions so even though their negative emotions can lead to great art we always want them to be happy too. Thanks for the reminder!

home is a fire is my favorite death cab song of all time. and ive been listening to them since you can play these songs with chords and something about airplanes. i evolved as they did. and even if someone doesnt like the direction theyre going, theres never a need for hate. there only needs to be the knowledge that after you peak its that much harder to keep fans tied into you as much as they were in your prime. true followers will always follow, but fake followers will be into it while its trending. its the way things go.

@PaulHennessyShow I love Ben and yes, it sucks that he's in pain. But I am sure he was in no way blameless...remember, we are only hearing his side and I can't believe anyone is blameless in these situations. At least an amazing album came from it.

@PaulHennessyShow i completely disagree. his song writing is that same as it ever was. if anything i think she made him a better songwriter
