Let It Be is the twelfth and final studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. It was released on 8 May 1970, almost a month after the group's break-up, in tandem with the motion picture of the same name.
Let It Be topped albums charts in both America and the UK, and the "Let It Be" single and "The Long and Winding Road" also reached number one in the US. Despite its commercial success, according to Beatles Diary author Keith Badman, "reviews [were] not good".

Two Of Us
The Beatles Lyrics
Two of us riding nowhere
Spending someone's
Hard earned pay
Two of us Sunday driving
Not arriving
On our way back home
We're on our way home
We're on our way home
We're going home
Two of us sending postcards
Writing letters
On my wall
You and me burning matches
Lifting latches
On our way back home
We're on our way home
We're on our way home
We're going home
You and I have memories
Longer than the road that stretches out ahead
Two of us wearing raincoats
Standing so low
In the sun
You and me chasing paper
Getting nowhere
On our way back home
We're on our way home
We're on our way home
We're going home

The playlist of 'Let it Be,' with my humble opinions attached, and the studio chatter removed:
Two of Us: Absolutely brilliant. Happy-melancholy Irish pub music.
Dig a Pony: Interesting abstract rocker.
Across the Universe: A stunning spiritual masterpiece by John. Had Shakespeare written this, he would have been happy with it. Standout lines include this sublime gem: "Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns -- it calls me on and on, across the universe."
I Me Mine: Terrific song by George about the selfishness he observed in people.
Let it Be: A stunning spiritual masterpiece by Paul. One of the best things the Beatles ever did. Or anybody ever did.
I've Got a Feeling: Terrific, and highly unusual composition. It's the ONLY example of John and Paul singing polyphonically (that I know of).
One After 909: Great rocker; hearkens back to their early days.
Long and Winding Road: A brilliant example that defies categorization. Cocktail music? Lounge music? Love ballad? Melancholy masterpiece? Standout lines of poetry include this: "The wild and windy night that the rain has washed away -- has left a pool of tears, crying for the day."
For You Blue: A brilliant, fun, and bluesy love song by George.
Get Back: A rocking masterpiece. Fast, fun, original, abstract, insightful -- everything about it just plain works.
And so...I just want to say...thank you Lads. Thank you Lads. And I think I speak for the entire universe when I say that yes, yes, and again yes...you most certainly passed the audition.
