Two Of Us
by The Beatles

Two of us riding nowhere
Spending someone's
Hard earned pay
Two of us Sunday driving
Not arriving

On our way back home
We're on our way home
We're on our way home
We're going home

Two of us sending postcards
Writing letters
On my wall
You and me burning matches
Lifting latches

On our way back home
We're on our way home
We're on our way home
We're going home

You and I have memories
Longer than the road that stretches out ahead

Two of us wearing raincoats
Standing so low
In the sun
You and me chasing paper
Getting nowhere

On our way back home
We're on our way home
We're on our way home
We're going home

This sounds like something you’d hear in a road trip movie.

Born in 63 , I remember being in backseat of my parents car driving to or from the Jersey Shore from Philly. The radio was everything in the 60's and 70's to me growing up. Even in the house. My family had the radio or records playing as much or more than TV. Remember the big wooden console type that were radio/record players ? You lifted the wooden lid and everything was in there 😄 High tech stuff in 1970.. My parents passed every Beatles album down to me , all in great condition too. I'm passing them to my daughter who's 22 now and Loves my generations music.
