Maybe I'm Amazed
Paul McCartney Lyrics

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time
Maybe I'm afraid of the way I love you
Maybe I'm amazed at the the way you pulled me out of time
And hung me on a line
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you

Maybe I'm a man and maybe I'm a lonely man
Who's in the middle of something
That he doesn't really understand

Maybe I'm a man and maybe you're the only woman
Who could ever help me
Baby won't you help me understand

Maybe I'm a man and maybe I'm a lonely man
Who's in the middle of something
That he doesn't really understand

Maybe I'm a man and maybe you're the only woman
Who could ever help me
Baby won't you help me understand

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you're with me all the time
Maybe I'm afraid of the way I leave you
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you help me sing my song
Right me when I'm wrong
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you

Eyes on the Prize

I invented the globally adored / ubiquitous "Classic Rock" FM format on Jan. 15, 1981...while midday personality
and Program Director at "94 WYSP" in
Philadelphia. This album was released on April 17, 1970...as I was about to
graduate that June from high school.
I listened to it on my Garrard turntable with a Shure cartridge and Radio Shack speakers...that whole summer and then during freshman year at UNC, Chapel Hill. Linda shot a Pentax 67 all-manual
medium-format camera, same war horse
as I, and met Paul during a Beatles shoot
from the press photographers' "bull pit". SHE WAS THE ONE TRUE SOULMATE OF HIS LIFE...(EVEN THOUGH HE ADORES HIS CURRENT WIFE, NANCY). My radio
name was Dick Hungate, during a 40-yr.
career also at WMMR, Philly and @ W-4
in Detroit, plus WRXL 102 in Richmond.

Should've focused on making money with that other group he belonged to earlier, then maybe he would've had a few bucks to pay for studio musicians. 😆

He lost his mother at 14.
He lost his childhood friend George Harrison.
And lost another best friend John Lennon.
He lost his wife Lovely Linda.
He's very strong. And sharing this beautiful video and song in Linda's death anniversary is just sad and nice.

@Eleanor Lonely opines: "And he lost his favorite people at very young age." Granted, 14 is a relatively young age to lose one's mother, but Paul was about 38 when John died, about 56 when Linda died, and about 59 when George died. Not exactly a spring chicken.

It's also unclear that John or George were really two of Paul's "favorite people" by the time they "passed". Everybody loses people; only difference is that Paul's famous.

He his so great.
