Lose It
Austra Lyrics

Don't wanna lose you, don't wanna lose
Don't wanna lose you, don't wanna lose
I never knew you, I never knew
I never knew you, I never knew
Your body's harmful, the very shape
The cracks are deeper, on every plate

Don't wanna lose you, don't wanna lose
Don't wanna lose you, don't wanna lose
I get impatient, with every word
The more you ask me, the more I've heard
This is a thirst that I've never had
I've never bled for another man

Don't wanna lose you, don't wanna lose
Don't wanna lose you, don't wanna lose
My face screams
My face screams
My face screams
Without an emotion

In the darkness comes, another, another
Hold her by the thumbs, the other, the other

Don't wanna lose you (in the darkness comes)
Don't wanna lose (another, another)
Don't wanna lose you (hold her by the thumbs)
Don't wanna lose (the other, the other)

Don't wanna lose you (in the darkness comes)
Don't wanna lose (another, another)
Don't wanna lose you (hold her by the thumbs)
Don't wanna lose (the other, the other)

Don't wanna lose you (in the darkness comes)
Don't wanna lose (another, another)
Don't wanna lose you (hold her by the thumbs)
Don't wanna lose (the other, the other)

In the darkness comes, another, another
Hold her by the thumbs, the other, the other

Don't wanna lose you, don't wanna lose,
Don't wanna lose you, don't wanna lose.
I never knew you, I never knew,
I never knew you, I never knew.
Your body's harmful, the very shape.
The cracks are deeper, on every plate.

Don't wanna lose you, don't wanna lose,
Don't wanna lose you, don't wanna lose.
I get impatient, with every word.
The more you ask me, the more I've heard.
This is a thirst that I've never had,
I've never bled for another man.

Don't wanna lose you, don't wanna lose,
Don't wanna lose you, don't wanna lose.

My face screams,
My face screams,
My face screams without any motion/an emotion.

In the darkness comes, another, another.
Hold her by the thumbs, the other, the other.
(Don't wanna lose you, don't wanna lose,
Don't wanna lose you, don't wanna lose)
[x4]

In the darkness comes, another, another.
Hold her by the thumbs, the other, the other.

I would pay big money for a written analysis of this video. Just so I can make sense of all this. I need something.

you dont really need an analysis of this, the aesthetics are this way, however, the war elements seem to symbolize the tug of war between two people, they fought and hurt each other, everything is in chaos, they gambled bad and separed (the cards, which may as well be a wink to the solitaire game in windows 98, which serve as aesthetic but also as solitaire feeling alone) So lonely that cries - dont wanna lose ya-

Have you ?

I find this video really disturbing, like a distorted dream. Everybody seems to think it's crap and cheep, but for me it brings out rather strong feelings, I feel sad and worried. The missile at the beginning really augur something dreadful. Great song.

Has anyone not considered that it's just random images put together to appear artistic or interesting? This is what amateur / bad poets do in poetry readings (just string words / ideas together in a mixture and the audience is supposed to think it actually means something profound). Doing something like this takes the least amount of effort artistically (besides the trouble of putting it together). The song itself is awesome, though, don't get me wrong it's a great song. But why audiences don't realize that this is an actual thing mystifies me.

5 years after, I've come here with same feeling.

I saw it when I was eight and found it horrifying
