The lyrics to "Синяя вода" by Аида Ведищева depict a longing for the vastness and beauty of the blue sea. The song begins by describing the blue water as a field without a trace, without end or edge. It asks the water where it is rushing to, as if it holds a sense of urgency and purpose.
The next stanza expresses a desire to be carried quickly to the deep blue sea, where powerful waves crash continuously. The blue water is portrayed as a forceful and ever-moving entity, and the singer eagerly wants to be taken to its shores.
In the following verse, the lyrics mention how clouds drift past the blue water like herds. It again questions where the water is hurrying to, emphasizing a sense of restlessness and curiosity. The image of willows bending down to their waist and the presence of a half-whispered song of the wind add to the enchanting and mystical atmosphere of the song.
Throughout the lyrics, the color blue is used as a symbol of freedom, endlessness, and a desire for exploration. The blue water represents a longing to transcend the boundaries of the mundane world and be carried away by the waves to a place of wonder and beauty.
