Their debut album, All Saints, was released in 1997 with the first single "I Know Where It's At" reaching #4 on the UK charts. The next single, "Never Ever", launched All Saints as stars, selling over two million copies in the United Kingdom also. They later went on to release their second full length studio album, Saints & Sinners in 2000.
The band scored a total of five #1 singles. They split acrimoniously in 2001 after much speculation and rumour. Nicole and Natalie went on to form the duo Appleton, whilst Melanie and Shaznay have also gone on to enjoy (moderate) solo success.
On January 24, 2006 it was announced that the band had reformed. All Saints had signed a deal with Parlophone Records and their comeback single for the label, 'Rock Steady' was a considerable commercial success, charting at number 2. However, 'Studio 1', their third album peaked at a disappointing number 40 in the UK chart.
A further single - 'Chick Fit' - was released via download only, and the group left Parlophone shortly after in 2009.
In November 2013, it was announced that the group would be reforming to support the Backstreet Boys for five dates across the UK and Ireland in 2014.
"We are really looking forward to performing together as special guests of the Backstreet Boys," the group said in a statement.
All Saints will released their fourth studio album entitled Red Flag on 8 April 2016. The lead single from the album, "One Strike", was released on 26 February 2016.

Not gonna, never gonna, don't, don't wanna, wanna end up alone
I need to sit back and pick out, its about the way I'm making you feel,
You're trying to show me that you're happy, really happy, really happy
But I can see that you're feeling don't for real
The unhappiness, I'm maybe causing you
its definitely unintentional, definitely unintentional
So don't hesitate, don't be afraid to tell me
Cause my actions are not personal, oh
But I'll tell you something right now
Not gonna, don't wanna, never gonna, don't wanna, wanna end up alone
Not gonna, never gonna, don't, don't wanna, wanna end up alone
I need you to be honest, really honest, and tell me what's on your mind
Can't you tell me what's on your mind?
Whatever the problem may be, tell me, oh
Cause the body never lies
Am I too hard (too hard, too soft (too soft),
Or am I really just selfish to the bone?
So don't hesitate - I'm not psychic babe,
Let your feelings all be known, but I'll tell you something right now
Not gonna, don't wanna, never gonna, don't wanna, wanna end up alone
Not gonna, never gonna, don't, don't wanna, wanna end up alone
Oh, no, oh oh, not gonna , don't wanna, not gonna, don't wanna, don't know
(not gonna , don't wanna, never gonna, don't wanna, don't know)
Not gonna , don't wanna , not gonna, don't wanna, don't know
(No, no, ooh)
Oh, no, oh
Yeah? Cool.
The lyrics to All Saints's song "Alone" convey a sense of fear and insecurity about ending up alone. The song appears to be a plea to a partner to be honest and open about their feelings, as the singer is worried that their actions may be causing unhappiness, unintentionally. The first verse emphasizes the singer's fear of being alone, while the second verse shifts to a plea for their partner to share their thoughts and feelings honestly, so that the singer can work to address any issues in the relationship. The repeated refrain of "Not gonna, never gonna, don't, don't wanna, wanna end up alone" underscores the central message of the song, which is a fear of being left behind in a relationship.
The use of direct and straightforward language in the song, combined with the repeated refrain, gives the lyrics a sense of urgency and desperation that adds to the emotional impact of the song. The chorus, with its repeated negative statements ("Not gonna, never gonna, don't, don't wanna") helps to emphasize the singer's anxiety about being alone, while the bridge section, with its question about whether the singer is "too hard" or "too soft" in their approach, adds a note of introspection and self-doubt to the lyrics.
Overall, "Alone" is a powerful and emotional song that speaks to the fear of abandonment and loneliness that many people experience in relationships. The singer's plea for honesty and openness, and their willingness to take responsibility for their actions and work to address any issues in the relationship, makes the song a powerful statement about the importance of communication and trust in any partnership.
