The lyrics of the song "Balma Khuli Hawa Men" by Asha Bhosle express the desire to lose oneself in the intoxicating atmosphere of freedom and love. The opening lines talk about the scent of the air and wanting to be lost in the moment. The imagery is one of being carried away by the wind and unable to resist the temptation of letting oneself go.
The next stanza is about the singer's feet moving restlessly, unsure of where to go. The heart says that it wants to experience the entire world, but it is unclear how or where to begin. The yearning to explore is overwhelming and takes over the singer's sense of direction.
The final stanza refers to the sound of the singer's own ankle bells and the desire for their loved one to hear them and come closer. The world itself seems muted without the presence of their beloved, and all sights and sounds are dulled. The freedom and joy expressed in the song are an indication of the unrestrained nature of love and the feeling of wanting to be carried away.
