The song GORI BAHULI KUTHUN AALI by Asha Bhosle is a Marathi song that talks about the travails and troubles of a young girl who is trying to find her mother. The lyrics are poetic and are full of imagery that paints a picture of the young girl's journey. The song starts with the girl looking for her mother and wondering where she is. She cries out for her mother, but she is nowhere to be found. The girl then talks about how she is dressed in her best clothes but her saree is untidy and her bangles are making a noise. She wonders how her mother would react to her appearance. The girl then talks about how she is tired and her feet hurt from all the walking she has done. She looks for a place to rest but there is nowhere to sit. She then talks about how she sees a group of women and asks them if they have seen her mother. However, they do not answer her and she realizes that she is alone.
In the next verse, the girl talks about how she is still looking for her mother and how she feels lost without her. She talks about how she sees a woman that she thinks might be her mother but she cannot be sure. The girl then talks about how she hears a noise and sees a group of animals. She is scared and runs away. The girl then talks about how she dreams of finding her mother and how she would like to play with her. She wonders if her mother would still play with her even though she is growing up. Finally, the song ends with the girl still looking for her mother and wondering where she is. The lyrics are emotional and touching and speak to the universal experience of feeling lost and alone.
