A minha bandeira do samba
Deus ajuda a defender
A minha bandeira do samba
Deus ajuda a defender
The lyrics of Benito Di Paula's song "Osso Duro De Roer" speak of someone who is being targeted by detractors who want to erase his name and time as a samba musician. However, despite the rumors circulating about him, he refuses to let them get the best of him. He is proud of his samba, which he describes as "osso duro de roer," or tough as nails. He knows that it's envy that drives people to try and bring him down, but he is unfazed, as he is not one to give up easily. He sings that he will stay true to his samba and keep on going, defying any attempt to silence him.
The song is a rallying cry for anyone who has faced opposition and adversity, especially those in a creative field like music. It urges people to stay true to themselves and their art no matter what people say, and not to let envy and jealousy stop them from achieving their goals. The lyrics also express a deep love and respect for samba, which is often seen as a symbol of Brazilian culture and pride.
