1. Formed by Nagy Feró and Németh Alajos in 1982, Budapest, Hungary, Bikini is one of the most successful Hungarian rock band of the eighties. Nagy Feró's (also known as "the cockroach of the nation", as he called himself) former punk band, the legendary Beatrice split up in 1982, after having serious problems with communist authorities, when they formed this band.
The band music and lyrics was, like much of the communist era, filled with hidden meanings against the oppression. With Nagy Feró in the front of the Bikini they produced two studio albums, which were very progressive, post modern punk rock albums. Their debut was "Hová lett?" (1983), followed by the "XX. századi híradó" (1984) one year later. However as the eroding of Hungarian communist regime became more obvious and faster, Feró left the Bikini for reuniting the Beatrice.
In 1985 D. Nagy Lajos arrived to the band as a lead singer, when they progressed to a more accessible and melodic rock sound, and produced legendary and very successful hit songs like "Közeli helyeken" or "Ki visz haza?", which are still very popular and often played in Hungary. The band split up in 1992 but reunited in 1997.
Members are: D. Nagy Lajos, Németh Alajos, Lukács Peta, Mihalik Viktor, Makovics Dénes, Bördén Szabolcs.
Some former members are:
Nagy Feró (vocals 1982-85), Vedres Joe (guitar 1982-91, 1997-1998), Németh Gábor (drums, 1982-1985), Berecz Endre (drums, 1989-1991), Hirleman Bertalan (drums, 1985-1989, 1997-1998), Gallai Péter (keyboards 1985-2003), Daczi Zsolt (guitar 1991-2004), Csillag Endre (guitars 2004-2006), Kató Zoltán (saxophone, 1989-1998).

2. Bikini (electro-pop dance music duo) is Nigel Diamond and Olivier Olivier. Their music is like Salinger on MDMA. Diamond is originally from Miami and Olivier was classically trained at the Royal Conservatory.
Olivier Olivier is the son of the late Indian poet Fateh Bains and moved to Canada where he attended Glen-Lyon Norfolk School, a school chosen for its musical program affiliated with the Royal Conservatory of Music. It was here Olivier met Nigel Diamond, who was sent down after he was expelled from his previous school.
It wasn’t until after Glen-Lyon Norfolk that the two began to make music together. Olivier composes all the melodies in the fall of each year, drawing his inspiration from the poetry he writes during the summer. He records vocals, exports all his drafts without titles or form to Diamond. Diamond spends the following spring arranging Olivier's melodies, rhythm sequences and vocal treatments, adding his own lines. The result is a finished record. Nothing is sent back to Olivier. The songs are then sent from Diamond to be mastered and released.

A régi világból megmaradt,
Még szívhatsz
Mindent, ami elszívható.
Más ember lennél, mint aki vagy,
Rossz kifogás, hogy ki vagy, ki vagy.
Ki vagy, tudom,
Szívás a vonaton, minden vonalon,
Megadta magát egy részeg megafon.
Ma szokott vissza,
Pedig már hét éve, hogy tiszta.
A füst elszáll, a szó megmarad,
A köhögés után felszakad.
Kimondanom muszáj:
Good bye, good bye, good bye!
Nem rossz érzés, csak meglepő,
Ahogy arcodba vág a friss levegő.
Nem olyan rémes,
Csak ne lennél tőle éhes.
Ez itt egy dohányzó szakasz,
A régi világból megmaradt,
Még szívhatsz
Mindent, ami elszívható.
A füst elszáll, a szó megmarad,
A köhögés után felszakad.
Kimondanom muszáj:
Good bye, good bye, good bye!
The lyrics of the song "Füstmérgezés" by Bikini describe a smoking area, that remains from the old world, where you can still smoke everything that can be smoked. The song talks about how smoking is such a big part of some people's identities that it's hard to imagine them being someone else. It's a bad excuse to use "who you are" as a reason to not change, even if it's for the better. The lyrics criticize how smoking is addictive and how people can't stop even if it's causing harm to their health.
The first verse of the song does an excellent job of setting the scene by describing a smoking area where one can smoke whatever they desire. The second verse explains how smoking has become such an intricate part of some people's identities that it is hard to imagine them as anyone else. The bridge of the song talks about how smoking is bad for one's health, and even though some people stop, there are others who continue to smoke. The chorus of the song talks about how the smoke disappears, but the words or harms of the cigarettes linger on.
One of the essential themes of the song is the critical view of smoking, its addiction, and its effects, while also showing how ingrained it can be in some people's lives. It is a warning and a call to people to change themselves for the better.
