1. Formed by Nagy Feró and Németh Alajos in 1982, Budapest, Hungary, Bikini is one of the most successful Hungarian rock band of the eighties. Nagy Feró's (also known as "the cockroach of the nation", as he called himself) former punk band, the legendary Beatrice split up in 1982, after having serious problems with communist authorities, when they formed this band.
The band music and lyrics was, like much of the communist era, filled with hidden meanings against the oppression. With Nagy Feró in the front of the Bikini they produced two studio albums, which were very progressive, post modern punk rock albums. Their debut was "Hová lett?" (1983), followed by the "XX. századi híradó" (1984) one year later. However as the eroding of Hungarian communist regime became more obvious and faster, Feró left the Bikini for reuniting the Beatrice.
In 1985 D. Nagy Lajos arrived to the band as a lead singer, when they progressed to a more accessible and melodic rock sound, and produced legendary and very successful hit songs like "Közeli helyeken" or "Ki visz haza?", which are still very popular and often played in Hungary. The band split up in 1992 but reunited in 1997.
Members are: D. Nagy Lajos, Németh Alajos, Lukács Peta, Mihalik Viktor, Makovics Dénes, Bördén Szabolcs.
Some former members are:
Nagy Feró (vocals 1982-85), Vedres Joe (guitar 1982-91, 1997-1998), Németh Gábor (drums, 1982-1985), Berecz Endre (drums, 1989-1991), Hirleman Bertalan (drums, 1985-1989, 1997-1998), Gallai Péter (keyboards 1985-2003), Daczi Zsolt (guitar 1991-2004), Csillag Endre (guitars 2004-2006), Kató Zoltán (saxophone, 1989-1998).

2. Bikini (electro-pop dance music duo) is Nigel Diamond and Olivier Olivier. Their music is like Salinger on MDMA. Diamond is originally from Miami and Olivier was classically trained at the Royal Conservatory.
Olivier Olivier is the son of the late Indian poet Fateh Bains and moved to Canada where he attended Glen-Lyon Norfolk School, a school chosen for its musical program affiliated with the Royal Conservatory of Music. It was here Olivier met Nigel Diamond, who was sent down after he was expelled from his previous school.
It wasn’t until after Glen-Lyon Norfolk that the two began to make music together. Olivier composes all the melodies in the fall of each year, drawing his inspiration from the poetry he writes during the summer. He records vocals, exports all his drafts without titles or form to Diamond. Diamond spends the following spring arranging Olivier's melodies, rhythm sequences and vocal treatments, adding his own lines. The result is a finished record. Nothing is sent back to Olivier. The songs are then sent from Diamond to be mastered and released.

Hülyékre pazaroltam el eddig az időmet.
Nem kéne összeveszni minden falaton,
Ne csodálkozz, ha megunom.
Innentől hátradőlök, s felhívom az elnököt,
Tízezer fabatkáért fogadjon egy ügynököt.
Tegye a pénzemet a tőzsdére,
Hiába várlak, én nem tudom, miért ülök itt;
Magyar valóság: itt mindenki hazudik.
Innentől hátradőlök, s magamnak azt kívánom,
Legyek a tengerparton, Rióban a karneválon.
Kapkodnám a fejemet a lányok után,
Meg sem állnék, csak három után.
Vidám a helyzet, csak én vagyok szomorú,
Gyűlik a számla, az ár nagyon szigorú.
Vidám a helyzet, csak én vagyok szomorú,
Gyűlik a számla, az ár nagyon szigorú.
Hiába várlak, én nem tudom, miért ülök itt;
Magyar valóság: itt mindenki hazudik.
The song "Vidám a helyzet" by Bikini talks about the frustration and disillusionment of the singer towards the Hungarian society. The lyrics demonstrate the singer's desire to escape the mundane and enter into a more adventurous and exciting life, symbolized by the image of the beach in Rio and the carnival. The singer is tired of wasting time and energy on trivial matters and is looking for a change that would bring meaning and happiness to his life.
The first verse highlights the singer's disappointment with the people around him, who seem to constantly bicker and argue over insignificant issues. The second verse depicts the singer's desire to break away from the status quo and take a risk in investing his money in the stock market. However, the singer's cynicism also shines through by wishing for the money to go to an old lady who needs it, suggesting a distrust for a world where money is power. The chorus reveals the irony of what the singer is feeling; despite his wishes for a fun and carefree life, he is stuck in a reality where bills keep piling up and life is anything but enjoyable.
Overall, the lyrics of "Vidám a helyzet" reveal the singer's deep dissatisfaction with the Hungarian society, and his desire for a more meaningful and exciting life. However, the song also highlights the challenges and restrictions that prevent people from achieving this, such as societal pressure, financial constraints, and a political climate that is less than ideal.
