Desmejorado
Bushido Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

¿Me habré perdido algo?...Quizás...
Las monedas de plata desprendidas
Del beso al carcelero de mi corazón

Yo sigo igual, sigo tal cual
Quizás desmejorado
Que no quede nunca al papel deshabitado
Otro ritmo, otro compás
Rimas de mar
El gran teatro del mundo debe continuar

Si no nos entra la locura
(Bienvenido al planeta loco)
Mientras se esfuma la espera
Habrá que dar la guerra por perdida
Y volver a los placeres
Prohibidos o privados
Para los necesitados

Y yo sigo igual, sigo tal cual
Quizás desmejorado
Y el arrabal amargo en el paladar
Otro ritmo, otro compás

Rimas de mar
El gran teatro del mundo debe continuar

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Bushido's song "Desmejorado" speak of the complexities and uncertainties of life. The opening lines acknowledge that there are different people and things in the world, some of which may seem believable, but it all comes down to hormones. People say they will leave, but they tend to stay. The singer continues to say that he remains the same, perhaps a bit worn down, but still himself. The bitterness and hardship of life are present, as he describes his unpleasant surroundings and the constant changes around him. The next verse speaks of missing out on things while sleeping and wondering if something was lost, but also of letting go of the past and moving on. The lines "las monedas de plata desprendidas, Del beso al carcelero de mi corazón" translate to "the silver coins released, from the kiss to the jailer of my heart." This suggests that the singer is finally freeing himself from the things that held him back before. The song concludes with the idea that in order to cope with the craziness of the world, one must embrace the pleasures that we have and continue living our lives in the great theater that is the world.
