There is something about Latin languages that is so pleasing to the ears, especially French and Italian.
The sounds used in the language.
The diphthongs that smooth-out sentences, by changing the pronuniation of some words depending on which sounds precede or follow the word (especially in French).
The "liaisons": a genius French spoken "rule" that disables the "pause" at the end of a word by joining the ending of a word with the beginning of the next one, creating the beautiful impression that every sentence is one contiuous flow of poetic sounds.
The tonality of most Latin words where the vowels are stressed and not the consonants (unlike German, eew), enhancing the melody of each word and suppressing the "breaks"/"cuts" created by the consonants (exemple: the German language stresses these breaks, which gives the impression of a harsh fragmented language, unpleasent to the ears).
The overall tonality of each sentence, especially Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, built for every sentence to feel like a song. If you don't understand a Latin language, ever noticed how each conversation feels like the people are singing ?
For French, Italian, and Portuguese: the absence of "throat" sounds (guttural) in their language (like the "j" in Spanish, or the "cht" in German), ruining a whole sentence's melody by their presence.
The high vowel-to-consonant ratio so typical of Latin-origin languages, further exagerating the melody.
The location at which most Latin sounds are created: neither guttural (like Arab), neither high pitched (like every Asian language, including Indian), neither chest (like English or German)... But rather a perfect balance of range.
I could go on, as I like studying languages, but I lack the English vocabulary to really describe how magical Latin languages are compared to any other language.
