If you wanna know if He's real
Doesn't matter where you come from
If you really wanna be sure
If you really wanna know that you know
You know that you know you know that you know you know, you know“
„And at the time Mom and Dad had to whip me
You're gonna learn it
A long time ago
It's been a long midnight train“
Doch immer gerne eins
Doch dann hast du mich vor all denen verteidigt
Und weißt du was, Mum?
Doch immer gerne eins
Zweitausend-irgendwann
Zweitausend-irgendwann
Zweitausend-irgendwann
Zweitausend-irgendwann
Das ist 'n tolles Zweitausend-irgendwann
Wir schreiben grade Zweitausend-irgendwann
Alle Gläser hoch, Zweitausend-irgendwann
Wir sehen uns wieder, Zweitausend-irgendwann
Hehe, Zweitausend-irgendwann
Ey yo, Mum, ich komm' heim, Zweitausend-irgendwann
Das Album ist fertig, Zweitausend-irgendwann
Zweitausend-irgendwann
Zweitausend-irgendwann
Zweitausend-irgendwann
Zweitausend-irgendwann
Zweitausend-irgendwann
Zweitausend-irgendwann
Zweitausend-irgendwann
Zweitausend-irgendwann
Hehe, yo, Zweitausend-irgendwann
Irgendwann, irgendwann, Zweitausend-irgendwann
Irgendwann, irgendwann, Zweitausend-irgendwann
Co, ich bin hier, Zweitausend-irgendwann

The song "2kx" by Cro is a reflection of the artist's internal struggles and feelings of disconnection from his family and past. The first verse speaks to the artist's desire to share a thought with his listeners, a thought about the existence of God. He urges his listeners to ignore where they come from and instead focus on their own inner knowing of God's reality. In the second verse, Cro shares a personal story of his parents having to discipline him when he was younger. He reflects on the past and acknowledges that he has gone through a long journey, riddled with obstacles, leading him to where he is now.
Throughout the song, Cro delves into the constant internal battle between his love for his family and his desire to reach beyond his roots and make a name for himself. He speaks directly to his mother and father, expressing his guilt for being distant and absent from their lives. His use of past tense language reveals a sense of nostalgia and regret as he struggles with his identity and place in the world. Despite this struggle, Cro recognizes the importance of living fully in the present and looking towards a brighter future.
Overall, the song is an introspective look at Cro's personal journey and the internal struggles that come with chasing one's dreams while trying to remain connected to one's past.

I just wanna leave a thought with you tonight
I want to share a meaningful message before I leave
If you wanna know if He's real
If you want to confirm if God exists
Doesn't matter where you come from
It doesn't matter where you are from
If you really wanna be sure
If you truly want to be certain
If you really wanna know that you know
If you truly want to have complete knowledge
You know that you know you know that you know you know, you know
You are absolutely certain and have full confidence
And at the time Mom and Dad had to whip me
There was a time when my parents had to discipline me
Can I tell you what I did?
Can I share what I did?
You're gonna learn it
You are going to find out
A long time ago
In the past, many years ago
It's been a long midnight train
It has been a long, tiring journey
Yeah, yo, hi Dad, lange nicht gesehen
Hi Dad, long time no see
I'm home for the week, everyone takes a short break
I had a good meal, I lie down, it's late
But it feels strange because the bed is not moving
I can't see you because the internet isn't loading
That's why I stare at the ceiling, thinking and contemplating
Wo will ich hin, wo komm' ich her und wo ich steh'
Where do I want to go, where do I come from, and where am I standing?
I love the peace and quiet, until it overwhelms me again
I think about stage diving and people going crazy
Busse, Kolonne, wilde Partys in der Lounge
Buses, convoys, wild parties in the lounge
I fall asleep in Munich and wake up in Hamburg
And kids with posters are already at the fence in the morning

And no matter how many times, I'm always amazed
Seid ganz schön klein, aber dafür ziemlich laut
You are quite small, but very loud
It's like a dream, can someone please pinch me here?
Fünfzehntausend Menschen und alle gut gelaunt
Fifteen thousand people and everyone in a good mood

Saeed takes a picture, group photo in front of the crowd
But no matter which lens, he can't capture everyone
There is good food, tell me, are you still eating it?
No, I don't need shrimp, I feed on applause
Ich steh' auf, schlender' durch das Haus
I get up and wander through the house
It still smells like back then, it will never go away
I am much younger than my siblings
And in order to keep up, it was like, 'run, Forrest, run'
And since then, I've been running, always uphill, always uphill
This small town is becoming too small for me, I need to get out, I need to get out
So I drift through the night like an astronaut
Und überall willkommen, fühl' mich nirgendwo zuhaus
And welcome everywhere, but I don't feel at home anywhere
Und manchmal bin ich echt 'n Egoist
And sometimes I'm really selfish
I guess I'm scared that home will no longer be there someday
Ich glaub', dass man nur überlebt
I believe that one only survives
Wenn man den Rückweg nicht vergisst, yeah
If one doesn't forget the way back
Ich weiß, ich hab' so viel gefehlt
I know, I've been missing so much
I'm sorry, I was never really there
Ist nicht immer alles easy, eh-eh, no
It's not always easy, no
Ich bin trillionenfach unterwegs
I am traveling a trillion times
Doch immer gerne eins
But always gladly one
And believe me, someday, someday I can too
Hi Mum, lange nicht gesehen
Hi Mum, long time no see
Sorry that I rarely write to you about how I'm doing
I'm on the bus, it's late, everyone is asleep
But I can't close my eyes as long as it keeps moving
And that's why I'm awake some nights, all alone
I stick to the large window and feel homesick
I would like to write to you, so you know
I haven't forgotten you, but I also don't want to wake you up
Mum, do you remember how I constantly had to stay after school
Nur weil ich 'ne andre Farbe benutzte?
Just because I used a different color?
And got kicked out of school because I didn't suppress the fun
I would do it again, every day, every second
And you were really mad, because of course, it was embarrassing for you
And instead of listening to you, I insulted you
Doch dann hast du mich vor all denen verteidigt
But then you defended me in front of all of them
Und weißt du was, Mum? Das war ziemlich cool
And you know what, Mum? That was pretty cool
And because I have more thoughts like that
I think it's slowly time for me to say thank you
Thank you Mum, I know you lie awake with fear in your stomach
In bed at night, asking yourself all these questions
What's the meaning of always traveling around the country?
If it was about money, then I would chill or bathe in champagne
Würd' Anzug tragen oder Lambo fahren
I would wear a suit or drive a Lambo
Oder mit Handgranatenpanzer jede Bank hochjagen
Or blow up every bank with a tank of hand grenades
But I'm here, I've been writing all evening
Meine Gedanken auf Papier, während andre schlafen
My thoughts on paper, while others sleep
So bekomm' ich Angst bei jedem Krankenwagen
So I get scared at every ambulance
I should go home again and not wait so long
Doch manchmal bin ich echt 'n Egoist
But sometimes I'm really selfish
I guess I'm scared that this world won't miss me someday
But you are not truly dead as long as you are remembered
No, one lives until the last person forgets you
