La Aplanadora del Rock is known for mixing rock with Argentine folk music, and hard-to-get lyrics. The most successful point on the band's career came with the 1993 record La era de la boludez.
Other than founding members Mollo and Arnedo, different drummers have completed the normal trio: 1988 to 1990, Gustavo Collado; 1990 to 1995, Federico Gil Solá; 1995 to 2004, Jorge Araujo; and since 2004, Catriel Ciavarella.
The name of the band is taken from Sumo's favourite band and influences (the late Ian Curtis was a good friend of Luca Prodan) - Joy Division.
The band has recorded a number of covers, such as Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix and Light My Fire by The Doors. Covers not committed to CD include I Want You (She's So Heavy) and Day Tripper by The Beatles. In their shows, Divididos has played songs such as "Rock and Roll" and "Moby Dick" (Led Zeppelin), and "Little Wing" (Jimi Hendrix). The band also covers some Sumo songs, usually in medley format.

Divididos Lyrics

a partir de esa molestia.
Intentaba tomar algo de pie
a partir de esa molestia.
A vos te duele también
te duele dudar
si el veneno enamora el dolor o...
o maquilla el angel lujorioso.
¿Qué pasa conmigo hoy
a vos te duelo también
o te hizo crack ese muñeco otra vez?
Y ahí empiezo a entender
que ya fui budín de pan
y que me agrando
con un poco de amor.
Por andar
oxide el corazón
voy alla
pero soy de acá.
Por andar
oxide el corazón
voy alla
pero soy de acá.
Por andar
oxide el corazón
voy alla
pero soy de acá.
Por andar...
The lyrics of Divididos' song "Qué pasa conmigo" deal with the pain of uncertainty and doubt in a romantic relationship. The singer is trying to stand up and move on from a situation that has been causing them discomfort, but they are struggling to do so. They pose the question to their partner: "Does it hurt you too? To doubt whether the poison enamors the pain or... or makes the luxurious angel up?". In other words, they are unsure whether their emotions are genuine or just a façade.
The chorus repeats the question "What's happening with me today?", as if the singer is lost and unsure of their own feelings. They then express that they have been hurt before in the past, and that they have inflated their ego with a little bit of love. The final lines of the song express a sense of restlessness and wanderlust, as if the singer is constantly searching for something more, but ultimately recognizes that they belong to where they came from.
The song's lyrics are open to interpretation and can be interpreted in many different ways. Some people may relate to the singer's search for meaning and understanding in their own relationships or personal lives. Others may simply appreciate the poetic and emotive language of the lyrics.
