The lyrics of Ebi's song "Lalehzaar" depict a nostalgic longing for the past and a desire to revisit a place called Lalehzaar. The singer expresses that tomorrow they must go to Lalehzaar because their heart is deeply attached to its atmosphere. The lyrics mention the tile work of the Shir-o-Kashi Mosque, implying that time has passed and things have changed, possibly indicating that the singer himself has aged. The mention of children in the alleyways playing old-fashioned games and the neon lights of the cinema suggest that despite the passage of time, some aspects of Lalehzaar have remained unchanged.
The lyrics further describe the experiences that can still be had in the theaters of Lalehzaar, where one can witness raw, unfiltered performances. They mention the voice of Forough Farrokhzad, a famous Iranian poet, which can still be heard in the cafes. The lyrics acknowledge that some traditions and habits still continue in Lalehzaar, like the "jor mizan" ritual on Thursdays, which is believed to bring good fortune.
The refrain of the song emphasizes not to say that the path is distant, that there is no solution, or that the street has turned into smoke. It suggests that one must go to Lalehzaar tomorrow and not let dreams be taken away or wishes be destroyed. The lyrics convey the idea that although the past is gone, it should not dictate the future.
