Sacred Geometry
Elitist Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Breathe this air from your lungs
This doesn't have the be the end
Where do we go from here
Where do we go from here
As the world begins to crumble
Crumble away in front of our eyes
In this place that we find ourselves
There is no way to be sure of anything
As the world begins to crumble
Crumble away in front of our eyes

In this place that we find ourselves
There is no way to be sure of anything
Between you and i there is nothing, nothing

In this place that we find ourselves
We're drifting away
From the truth that we find when we search inside
(if you can feel me
If you know i'm right here beside you
Breathe in and don't let go)

We were once connected
Connected from worlds apart
We were once symmetric
My inverse counterpart

Between you and i
There is something that is missing
I can feel my grasp slipping away
There is nothing

Breathe this air from your lungs
This doesn't have the be the end
Where do we go from here
Where do we go from here

As the world begins to crumble
Crumble away in front of our eyes

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Elitist's song "Sacred Geometry" speak to the human experience of uncertainty and the fear of losing connections with others. The opening lines invite the listener to take a deep breath of the air around them, acknowledging the physicality of their existence. However, even with this grounding, the world around them is beginning to crumble, creating a sense of anxiety and instability. The repetition of the question, "Where do we go from here?" emphasizes the uncertainty of the situation.

The song then shifts to focus on the individual's relationship with others. The line "Between you and I there is nothing, nothing" suggests a lack of connection or understanding, despite the proximity of the two individuals. The following lines express a sense of loss or disconnection, as the singer notes that they were once connected and symmetrical like mirror images. However, something is now missing, and the singer can feel their grasp slipping away.

Overall, "Sacred Geometry" speaks to the human fear of losing connections and feeling uncertain in an ever-changing world. The lyrics invite the listener to contemplate their own relationships and question where they go from here.

Love their message. sacred geometry, the fundamental pattern of the universe!

High Beam Sunrise

amazing song. powerful. heavy. moving. all in one!

Reshape Reason

Although there is a strong similartiy, when this was written we did not make the connection and if anything, we were actually influenced b a rhythmic pattern in Killswitch Engage's - "Arms of Sorrow" this rhythm is a rather popular one in general. So "stealing" from the Contortionist was not our intention, they are our friends.

Keagan Miller

My favorite song on this CD. You guys are great. I hope to hear more of Julian's singing in the next album!

John Doe

Loving the fact that there's a bit of clean vox in this song. Definitely demonstrates a metal band's versatility if they can include both types of vocals in a piece. Elitist needs much more recognition.
