The band eventually broke up in 1996 and Bunbury started his solo career in 1997 with a techno album, Radical Sonora with his new band: Copi (piano), del Moran (bass), Ramón Gacias (drums) and former Héroes del Silencio guitarrist Alan Boguslavsky.
Recognized by his wish to always reinvent himself, Bunbury released in 1999 the album Pequeño, which sounded much different than anything he did before. His band also suffered changes, Boguslavsky was replaced by Rafa Domínguez, and the new faces, Ana Belén Estaje (violin), Luis Miguel Romero (percussion), Javier Iñigo, Javier García Vega & Antonio Ríos in the metal instruments.
This band was known as the "Huracán Ambulante" ("Rambling Hurricane") and recorded with Bunbury the rest of his solo discography, (except Antonio Ríos).
In 2005, after 8 years together, Bunbury dissolved the band and declared that will record a new album in 2006 only with his voice and a piano. Nevertheless, in early 2006 he recorded an album with spanish artist Nacho Vegas by the name of El tiempo de las cerezas.
His old band, Héroes del Silencio, reunited in 2007 for a short tour which visited Latin America, United States and Spain.

Enrique Bunbury Lyrics

La callada por respuesta
Me abandono en la tristeza
Insociable en mi destierro
Me apoyo en lo que tengo
Quien sabe, no habla
Quien habla, no sabe
Afirmaciones tan extremas
Hilvanando mas sentencias
La discreción delimita
Lo que el corazon sabia
La opinión general es siempre la peor
Tiranía
Cerrar o abrir
Entrar o salir
Confundir o iluminar
Lo mismo me da
Insociable en mi destierro
Me apoyo en lo que tengo
Quien sabe, no habla
Quien habla, no sabe
Cerrar o abrir
Entrar o salir
Confundir o iluminar
Lo mismo me da
In Enrique Bunbury's song Alfa, he sings about allegations, reservations and his tendency to remain silent in response to them. He describes feeling abandoned in sadness and being unsociable in his exile, leaning only on what he has. He believes that those who know do not speak, while those who speak do not know. Bunbury sees extreme statements as his favorite stance, as he strings more sentences together while being careful to limit his discretion. He is well-aware of what his heart knows, but he is also convinced that the general opinion is always the worst.
The chorus of the song focuses on the tyranny of choices that he faces, whether they are about shutting or opening doors, entering or leaving, or confusing or illuminating. To him, it doesn't matter because he remains unsociable in his loneliness, relying on what he has.
The song speaks about a person who prefers to remain silent and in keeping with their beliefs, rather than conforming to the opinions of others. The singer feels the pressure of society to express themselves, but they choose to listen to their own heart and make choices based on their personal beliefs. The chorus talks about the confusion and weight of making decisions, but the person seems to be unbothered since they have found their way of life.
