The band eventually broke up in 1996 and Bunbury started his solo career in 1997 with a techno album, Radical Sonora with his new band: Copi (piano), del Moran (bass), Ramón Gacias (drums) and former Héroes del Silencio guitarrist Alan Boguslavsky.
Recognized by his wish to always reinvent himself, Bunbury released in 1999 the album Pequeño, which sounded much different than anything he did before. His band also suffered changes, Boguslavsky was replaced by Rafa Domínguez, and the new faces, Ana Belén Estaje (violin), Luis Miguel Romero (percussion), Javier Iñigo, Javier García Vega & Antonio Ríos in the metal instruments.
This band was known as the "Huracán Ambulante" ("Rambling Hurricane") and recorded with Bunbury the rest of his solo discography, (except Antonio Ríos).
In 2005, after 8 years together, Bunbury dissolved the band and declared that will record a new album in 2006 only with his voice and a piano. Nevertheless, in early 2006 he recorded an album with spanish artist Nacho Vegas by the name of El tiempo de las cerezas.
His old band, Héroes del Silencio, reunited in 2007 for a short tour which visited Latin America, United States and Spain.
Despacio
Enrique Bunbury Lyrics

De colores primordiales
De ondas calladas
Olores elementales
Y aún quieres desoír
Instrucciones de natura
E infringir e infringir
Las leyes del instinto, ¡qué locura!
Voy despacio
Despacio
Voy despacio
La llamada del cobre
De la bóveda celeste
El azafrán y el polen
A la hora del poniente
Saber es sabor
De colores primordiales
De ondas calladas
Olores elementales
Despacio
Voy despacio
Despacio
Voy despacio
The lyrics of Enrique Bunbury's Despacio speak about the importance of taking things slowly and enjoying the simple things in life. The first stanza describes the pleasure that comes from experiencing the basic elements of nature - colors, waves, and scents. Despite this, the song acknowledges the tendency of humans to ignore the instructions of nature and instead follow their instinct, even if it doesn't always make sense. The repeated phrase "Despacio" emphasizes the importance of slowing down and taking the time to appreciate these elements.
The second stanza references the beauty of the cosmos and the changing of the day into night. Again, it emphasizes the importance of appreciating these small moments in life. The second half repeats the same lyrics from the first stanza, symbolizing the cyclical nature of life and reminding listeners to slow down and take it all in.
Overall, the song encourages listeners to embrace the present and appreciate the simple pleasures in life. The use of nature imagery emphasizes the need to be mindful and present in the moment, rather than constantly rushing towards the next thing.
