The band eventually broke up in 1996 and Bunbury started his solo career in 1997 with a techno album, Radical Sonora with his new band: Copi (piano), del Moran (bass), Ramón Gacias (drums) and former Héroes del Silencio guitarrist Alan Boguslavsky.
Recognized by his wish to always reinvent himself, Bunbury released in 1999 the album Pequeño, which sounded much different than anything he did before. His band also suffered changes, Boguslavsky was replaced by Rafa Domínguez, and the new faces, Ana Belén Estaje (violin), Luis Miguel Romero (percussion), Javier Iñigo, Javier García Vega & Antonio Ríos in the metal instruments.
This band was known as the "Huracán Ambulante" ("Rambling Hurricane") and recorded with Bunbury the rest of his solo discography, (except Antonio Ríos).
In 2005, after 8 years together, Bunbury dissolved the band and declared that will record a new album in 2006 only with his voice and a piano. Nevertheless, in early 2006 he recorded an album with spanish artist Nacho Vegas by the name of El tiempo de las cerezas.
His old band, Héroes del Silencio, reunited in 2007 for a short tour which visited Latin America, United States and Spain.
Mundo feliz
Enrique Bunbury Lyrics

Mundo feliz
Para ti y para mí
La misma vaina
Distinto collar
Muchas gracias por colaborar
Ha sido todo un placer
Si te quitas la vida
Procura no poner todo perdido
Y añade cuál es tu dolor
En desguaces, suspiros
Cursis icurriñas y els segador
Logotipos de grupos de rock
Esbásticas y banderas
Tendrás lo que quieras
Mundo feliz
Para ti y para mí
La misma vaina
Distinto collar
Muchas gracias por colaborar
Mundo feliz
Para ti y para mí
La misma vaina
Distinto collar
Muchas gracias por colaborar
The lyrics of Mundo Feliz by Enrique Bunbury are a scathing commentary on the current state of society, which places a high value on beauty, youth, success, and fame. The opening lines, "The dictatorship of beauty/ Of lies and of age/ And the sweet taste of success on television/ We are all potential shitty artists," criticize the way society prioritizes external appearances over inner beauty and character. It highlights how people are influenced by the media's portrayal of the "perfect life," leading to an unhealthy obsession with physical beauty, youthfulness, and a desire for fame and success.
The song then moves on to explore other themes such as the struggles of normal people, including the factory workers and the everyday problems they face. The lyrics highlight the importance of small things such as looking after animals and women's rights. In the latter part of the song, the lyrics take a more ominous tone, talking about suicide and how people should be considerate about the aftermath of such an act. It also talks about political symbols such as the Catalan flag and their use and misuse.
Overall, "Mundo Feliz" is a deeply reflective song from Bunbury that paints a bleak picture of modern society. It criticizes our obsession with beauty, success, and fame while highlighting the importance of small things in life that really matter.
