In 2005, Estopa signed a global music publishing deal with BMG Music Publishing.
The name of the group, "Estopa" (tow, in english) refers to when both brothers worked together at a SEAT automobile factory and, in their own words, a boss kept on screaming at them, "¡Dale estopa!" which means something like "Work hard!".

Soy Argentina amo a estos dos hermanos desde el momento en qué salieron. En el 2003 Nació mi primer hijo Elias .Recuerdo tener en brazos a mi hijo y ke cantaba una canción de estopa hasta q sé dormia .hoy mi hijo tiene 19 años va a cumplir 20 y lo seguimos escuchando juntos .Es una bendición poder seguir escuchando a este grupo ESTOPA. saludos ❤
