The lyrics in Felipe Pirela's song "Lo Que Es La Vida" tell the story of a person who has always wanted to achieve something in life, to fulfill his own dreams but also to offer his mother a better life than the one they had experienced growing up in poverty. Despite facing many hardships, including hunger, sadness, and defeat, the singer refuses to give up and sets out to conquer his fate. He crosses seas without knowing where he's headed, he fights against destiny and ultimately triumphs. But as a result of his success, envy and selfishness bring upon him betrayal and persecution. The singer is falsely accused and treated unjustly, just like Jesus Christ was.
Through these lyrics, Felipe Pirela explores the harsh realities of life in a world full of competition, envy, and cruelty. The singer's story is one of determination, perseverance, and resilience, but also of the price one has to pay for success. The song's chorus, "Lo que es la vida" ("such is life"), repeats as a reminder that life is full of unexpected turns, and that even if we succeed, others might try to bring us down.
Overall, "Lo Que Es La Vida" is a powerful song that speaks to the human condition and the struggle for survival in the face of adversity.
