Fight The Fade Lyrics

I wanted to be
There was nothing
Between you and me
Then came the rain
And washed away your paint
Your true colors
I′m holding out my heart just take it
Letting go of all I was before
So tired of this constant aching
I don't even want it anymore
I′m holding out my heart just take it
Letting go of all I was before
So tired of this constant aching
I don't even want it anymore (anymore, anymore, anymore)
It's time you see the line
That you′ve left behind
The one you′d never cross, so now I am lost
And I can't find the light
There′s no one close to me
And I can hardly breathe
I just can't believe
You′d leave me this way
I'm holding out my heart just take it
Letting go of all I was before
So tired of this constant aching
I don′t even want it anymore
I'm holding out my heart just take it
Letting go of all I was before
So tired of this constant aching
I don't even want it anymore
I′m holding out my heart, holding out my heart
Holding out my heart
I′m holding out my heart, holding out my heart
Help me
I'm dying for relief
Reaching
I just wanna believe
In love, in hope and peace
With someone next to me
I′d give up everything
To live out this dream
I'm holding out my heart just take it
Letting go of all I was before
So tired of this constant aching
I don′t even want it anymore
I'm holding out my heart just take it
Letting go of all I was before
So tired of this constant aching
I don′t even want it anymore
I'm holding out my heart, holding out my heart
Holding out my heart
I'm holding out my heart, holding out my heart
Holding out my heart
The lyrics of "Heart in 2" by Fight The Fade talk about a person who has lost a close friend or a loved one. The song speaks about how the two of them were close to each other and how the singer wanted to be like the person they lost. However, everything changed when a problem arose that not only washed away the friend's paint (a metaphor for façade) but also took the person away from the singer.
The singer is holding out their heart and asking the person who left them to take it. They are tired of feeling constant emotional pain and want to move on from the hurt the person caused them. The song further delves into the pain and loneliness the singer feels after the person is gone. They feel lost, unable to find their way back to happiness.
The chorus repeats itself, emphasizing the idea that the singer is ready to let go of everything they were before and move on. However, the last verse provides a hopeful note as it speaks about the singer's belief in love, hope, and peace. They dream of having someone close to them and are willing to give up everything to live out this dream.

You were someone
You held a special place in my heart
I wanted to be
I aspired to be like you
There was nothing
There was no barrier between us
Between you and me
Our connection was strong
Then came the rain
Then came the hardship
And washed away your paint
And made your true colors show
Your true colors
Your true self
Tore you away
Separated us
I'm holding out my heart just take it
I'm offering my love, please accept it
Letting go of all I was before
I'm letting go of my past
So tired of this constant aching
I'm exhausted by this pain
I don't even want it anymore
I don't want this pain anymore
It's time you see the line
You need to realize the boundary
That you've left behind
That you've crossed and left me behind
The one you'd never cross, so now I am lost
The line that you promised never to cross, but now I'm confused and lost
And I can't find the light
And I can't find my way out of this darkness
There's no one close to me
I feel alone
And I can hardly breathe
I'm suffocating in my pain
I just can't believe
I'm in disbelief
You'd leave me this way
You would abandon me like this
Help me
I need assistance
I'm dying for relief
I'm desperate for a release from this pain
Reaching
I'm striving
I just wanna believe
I just want to have faith
In love, in hope and peace
In the power of love, hope, and peace
With someone next to me
With someone by my side
I'd give up everything
I'm willing to sacrifice everything
To live out this dream
To fulfill this desire
Holding out my heart
Offering my love

Just, came across you fellas by chance, looking for music to add into segements from my blog love your sound and how you can see the struggle and pain in your lyric's that tell the story.
Because that is what a song reflects the lyric's that tell the story from Life's roller coaster affect.
I as well have been writing my own lyrics since I was wee fella to escaped my sense of fucked up reality that I was thrashed into.
Without music I would be so lost it has many meanings for could not imagine world without music it would be empty and corrugated.
