Borratxo
Gossos Lyrics

perquè ompliu les vostres copes,
un altre cop ficat al bar
aquí les hores queden mortes.
Et convidaré a beure amb mi un licor estrany,
t'emborratxaré, i així,
podras continuar endavant.
I aquella nena vivia tristament enamorada d'ell.
In Gossos's song "Borratxo," the lyrics depict the singer's desire to drown out their sorrows and troubles by drinking with someone they care for. The opening lines convey the intensity of the singer's willingness to give their blood to fill up the other person's cup. They mention wanting to be at the bar to escape the emptiness of their hours. The singer then invites someone to drink a strange liquor with them while declaring they will get them drunk so that they can keep going.
The next part of the song mentions a girl who is hopelessly in love with someone but conveys the feeling that things may not work out. The singer admits that they do not know if they can endure it but that situations typically end this way. The final verses mention the singer walking on the streets while the houses go round and around them. They invite someone to drink the peculiar liquor to feel calmer, implying that troubles or pain caused the initial desire to drink. Finally, the last two lines beg whoever they are drinking with to toast to them and make sure that if they ever get drunk again, it is with that person's blood.
Overall, "Borratxo" portrays the desire to drink as a way to escape sadness, troubles, or pain, indicating the need to cling to someone who cares when drowning in one's sorrows.

Us donaré la meva sang
I will give you everything I have
perquè ompliu les vostres copes,
So that you can have enough
un altre cop ficat al bar
Back at the bar again
aquí les hores queden mortes.
Where time stands still
Et convidaré a beure amb mi un licor estrany,
I'll buy you a strange drink
t'emborratxaré, i així,
So that you can forget, and move on
podras continuar endavant.
You can keep going forward
I aquella nena vivia tristament enamorada d'ell.
And that girl lived sadly in love with him
No sé pas si ho resistiré
I don't know if I can handle it
però així acaben moltes coses.
but that's how many things end
Ara passejo pel carrer
Now I walk down the street
mentre les cases donen voltes.
while the houses spin around
Et convidaré a beure amb mi un licor estrany,
I'll buy you a strange drink
t'emborratxaré, per dins,
So that you can forget, inside
mentre et vas asserenant.
While you calm down
Almenys fer un brindis per mi.
At least raise a glass for me
Si algún dia em torno a emborratxar,
If I ever get drunk again
vull que sigui amb la teva sang.
I want it to be with your blood
Almenys fer un brindis per mi.
At least raise a glass for me
