In summer 1993, Oriol Farré, Juanjo Muñoz, Natxo Tarrés and Roger Farré from Manresa, joined together to start a new band. They won an award with their first record "Gossos" (1994). After a few tours in Catalonia they edited their 2nd record "En privat" in 1996. Followed by "Mandala" (1997) and "Directament" (1998, recorded in the "Teatre Conservatori" of Manresa) with the collaboration of other consolidated members of the Catalan Rock like Cris Juanico, Gerard Quintana and Pemi Fortuny. In 2000 they recorded "De viaje", their only album in Castillian so far, followed by "Cares" (2001).
In 2002 they move away from their acoustical style to start using electric guitars and drums. Their latest albums recorded are "El Jardí del Temps" (2003), "8" (2005) and Oxygen (2007).

El gos
Gossos Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
que vull tenir-te al meu costat,
reflexat en un mirall,
t'he començat a imaginar.
Però pel trancurs de la nit
segueix caminant,
pel transcurs de la nit,
seguiex caminant.
tot moll i sense res a fer,
la gent se'l mira "petaner"
i ell somia el que va ser.
Però pel transcurs de la nit,
segueix caminant
pel transcurs de la nit,
el mirall s'ha trecat.
Quedat al seu costat
no l'abandonis.
Ell mai no ho faria.
In Gossos's song El gos, the singer expresses their desire to have their loved one by their side. The first stanza talks about how the singer sees it as clear that they want their partner with them, envisioning them reflected in a mirror. However, in the second stanza, it is revealed that the person the singer is referring to is a dog who walks alone through the streets, wet and with nothing to do, yet everyone looks at him curiously. Despite this, the dog continues to walk and dream of what life used to be like. The last stanza is a plea to the listener not to abandon the dog, as the dog would never do such a thing himself.
The lyrics to El gos are full of rich imagery and metaphors, with the dog representing a lonely, longing figure. The use of the mirror to envision the partner adds an intriguing layer to the song, as it could be symbolic of a distorted or unattainable image. The theme of abandonment is also present, adding to the song's emotional weight.

Cada dia ho veig més clar,
Every day it becomes clearer to me,
que vull tenir-te al meu costat,
that I want to have you by my side,
reflexat en un mirall,
reflected in a mirror,
t'he començat a imaginar.
I've started to imagine you.
Però pel trancurs de la nit
But as the night goes on,
segueix caminant,
he keeps on walking,
pel transcurs de la nit,
as the night goes on,
seguiex caminant.
he keeps on walking.
Caminant sol pel carrer,
Walking alone on the street,
tot moll i sense res a fer,
all wet and with nothing to do,
la gent se'l mira 'petaner'
people look at him strangely,
i ell somia el que va ser.
and he dreams about what used to be.
Però pel transcurs de la nit,
But as the night goes on,
segueix caminant
he keeps on walking,
pel transcurs de la nit,
as the night goes on,
el mirall s'ha trecat.
the mirror has broken.
Quedat al seu costat
Stay by his side,
no l'abandonis.
don't abandon him.
Ell mai no ho faria.
He would never do it.
