1. - Hocus Pocus is a Hip Hop band from Nantes, France. Formed in 1995, their music is a mix of all hip-hop true elements with live instrumentation influenced by jazz, soul & funk music.
This band gives positive vibrations, stepping outside the French rap box. The alchemy between the intruments and the main rapper/DJ/band leader 20Syl, results in a appreciable coherence.
The lineup includes muscians Matthieu Lelièvre (on fender rhodes) Hevré Gogard (on bass), and Antoine Saint-Jean (on drums) with DJ Greem and 20Syl (MC), both members of C2C, the DJ crew, 2003-to-2006 DMC World DJ Team Championships winner.
Often compared with The Roots, Their live performance are often showy, mostly when the standard live instruments communicate with the turntables.

Feel Good
Hocus Pocus Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Groove like that
Everybody feels good
Yes, yes, yeah, yeah
Ya, ya-ya
Scratch posé ou speed double time
(?) L'a-cappella-a-a-a-a-a...
Yes, yes, yeah, yeah
Ya, ya-ya
The lyrics to Hocus Pocus's song Feel Good describe the experience of grooving to a bass-heavy beat and scratching vinyl tracks to create the perfect rhythm. The lyrics reference the techniques of scratching and double-time scratching, which involve manipulating vinyl records to produce new sounds and rhythms. The song suggests that everyone feels good when they are moving to a funky beat, and that the power of music can bring people together in a positive way.
The lyrics also reference the members of Hocus Pocus: Atom, Greem, Pfel, and 20Syl, who are described as having "phalanges crispées sur le vinyles" (tense fingers on the vinyls). The song is about the art of DJing, and the pleasure that comes from manipulating sounds and rhythms to create something new and exciting. The lyrics also suggest that the DJ has a responsibility to respect the original artist, advising listeners not to "pitch too much" during a remix.
Overall, the lyrics to Hocus Pocus's Feel Good celebrate the power of music to bring joy and positivity to people's lives, and the skill of DJs in manipulating sounds and rhythms to create something new and exciting.
