Aside from music used directly for the webcomic, fictional characters from the story have been credited with creating records themselves. The "Midnight Crew", a group of mobster characters, have released "Drawing Dead", who play what has been described as a "dark jazz" style of music. More albums of this nature have been hinted at. The Homestuck Music Crew has also released the "Squiddles Sing Along" album, the soundtrack to an imaginary kids show about happy-happy squids who "Kiss because they can't help it," as well as "The Felt", an orchestral style album based off of the rivals of the Midnight Crew. The released albums also feature many theme songs for the characters in the comic.

This is such a happy song. It's a remix of the Homestuck theme, with everyone's favourite breezy boy Jon Egbert and his winds mixed into it. Being a Breath guy myself, I feel this song an all it's energy and freedom the Breath aspect represents. It's amazing.

I feel like it's going to be both liberating, satisfying and a touch heartbreaking if/when Homestuck ends. I'm expecting resolution, so I'm pretty sure we'll get an absolutely feels-wrenching shot of the kids standing together, one last time, looking at the never ending blue sky or something sentimental, and then this will play and the credits will roll and then it'll just be two words that show up from Hussie: "The End". And we'll just sit there, shocked, stunned. But it will be good.

For the week after the album dropped I didn't think much of this song and just skipped it since the opening didn't really catch me, but actually sitting through past the first 40 seconds, I really like it. I hope we get to hear more from Hilary, she has to be pretty good to make this.

I kind of wish this were shorter just so that it could be 4:13 long. Someone needs to start doing remixes of Homestuck songs extended (if too short) or sped up Nightcore-style (if too long, like this one) so that they're 4:13 long, or 6:12 or even 10:25 as the case may be. Like fourthirdsfaster, but with a specific timestamp in mind.

And now we know that the next update (whenever it is) will be the last...It just feels weird. Still, we have the adventure game to look forward to, and whatever insane mspa adventure Hussie makes after Homestuck. And I think the fanwork for HS alone will probably last decades. :D

I think the only way to describe homestuck in one word is to say "homestuck", but you have to scream it and flail your arms about while running into people. homestuck should become its own definition and in itself, a form of timey whimy shenanigan.
