Aside from music used directly for the webcomic, fictional characters from the story have been credited with creating records themselves. The "Midnight Crew", a group of mobster characters, have released "Drawing Dead", who play what has been described as a "dark jazz" style of music. More albums of this nature have been hinted at. The Homestuck Music Crew has also released the "Squiddles Sing Along" album, the soundtrack to an imaginary kids show about happy-happy squids who "Kiss because they can't help it," as well as "The Felt", an orchestral style album based off of the rivals of the Midnight Crew. Homestuck ended on its 7th anniversary on 4/13 of 2016.
It ended.
You need to get back in this shit and see this thing to the end before you lay it to rest. Trust me, The ending will amaze you.

This song and the image associated with it sound really profound. It almost feels like it’s some kind of mysterious ode to something that is long gone. Something we were never meant to know about. I guess this song, in that sense, is sort of separate from the canon events in Homestuck. But it still calls back to what could have brought us here. Maybe not a Squiddle session, or even anything Squiddle related… but something. All we know is that, wherever it is, that something is definitely smiling upon us in contentment at the road it paved for us.
@noahtekulve2684
I like that.
@Jacob-ko2li
That's exactly the feeling I get from it too. Like hearing an echo of an echo of a song written by an alien species completely removed from our comprehension, with only vague feelings and images to construct our idea of what they could have been. A long-forgotten progenitor race only observable through tiny cracks in non-canon works like this one.
@evo683
@@Jacob-ko2li you worded this way better than I could, I agree entirely!
