Aside from music used directly for the webcomic, fictional characters from the story have been credited with creating records themselves. The "Midnight Crew", a group of mobster characters, have released "Drawing Dead", who play what has been described as a "dark jazz" style of music. More albums of this nature have been hinted at. The Homestuck Music Crew has also released the "Squiddles Sing Along" album, the soundtrack to an imaginary kids show about happy-happy squids who "Kiss because they can't help it," as well as "The Felt", an orchestral style album based off of the rivals of the Midnight Crew. The released albums also feature many theme songs for the characters in the comic.

I love how Dave knew they were going to fight Jack, and that he was going to die, but instead of trying to find a way around any of it, he went in head-on like a true hero of time, because "sometimes you just have to roll with it". He wanted a chance to stand up to Jack for once, and he got it. I'm actually pretty happy Dave and Rose didn't attain god tier earlier, like they had considered. They might not be around today.

Actually, going in knowing that he was going to die is something that is troubling about Dave. See his conversation with rose before they leave on the moon to blow up the Tumor. She doesn't quite seem to like what his dream about constantly dying and flying away as a bird might say about him. In a certain way, Dave might be a tad suicidal. And that's different than being heroic.

I love that melody at the beginning with the flute... kind of has a very heroic theme...but a little dark, and I was thinking it would sound really amazing with like a french horn at the beginning to give it more of that heroic feel I guess... I''m not quite sure how to explain it haha

@Eagle0600 The way they got the forge relit was because, during the frog breeding Jade and Dave did together, Jade went off and saw Echidna again (as suggested by Kanaya) That's when Jade and Echidna made the deal to bring her and the other Denzins along while getting Jade to remember when the last frog was. Echidna relit the forge after that, I believe. Go to the felt pages of HS and click on the Jade pictures when Doc Scratch's scrap book is scattered... its explained there
