We hate the ones that love us
We tend to harbor negative feelings towards those who love us.

And Love the ones that hate us
We tend to love those who don't love us or even hate us.

We unintentionally give our love to people who take pleasure in causing us pain.

This cycle of loving the wrong people is harmful and unhealthy.

There's pleasure in pain but know the 2 are not same
While some people may enjoy causing pain, it's not the same for the person on the receiving end.

Cycles of abuse got loving tainted in your brain
The pattern of abusive relationships can cause us to associate love with pain, leading to a distorted view of love.

I see the pains of life are clearly sitting on your mind
I can see that the hardships you've faced in life have weighed heavily on your mind.

But know these truamas never fade away unless you put in time
Healing from past traumas takes time and effort, it won't just fade away on its own.

They reason that it's ok for the shit they put you through
The people who mistreat us often justify their actions, making us think it's acceptable.

No wonder why your view of love is always so askew
It's understandable why you have a distorted view of love considering the mistreatment you've endured.

We often are not taught how to navigate matters of the heart, leading to poor decisions and heartache.

Loving is an art but yet we treat it like a game
Love should be approached with care and intention, but we often approach it carelessly and with little thought.

Susceptible to frauds for which you always seem to fall
You're often fooled by those who are deceptive, leading to repeated disappointment and heartbreak.

Searching for love in places that they never be
You're looking for love in the wrong places, leading you to people who can't give you what you need.

The solutions to your problems may be obvious, but you're unable to see them for yourself.

They give you False equivalents and cover it with dividends
People deceive you by giving you false substitutes, luring you in with the promise of material gain.

Until you finally recognize and try to make amends with it
Until you realize the truth and take steps to rectify the problem.

But you see the cycle never ends
Unfortunately, the cycle of loving the wrong people often repeats itself.

You leave the one you with and then another one begins
As one relationship ends, another soon begins with a similar story.

They treat you right and love you good but wonder to what ends
Even when someone treats you well, you're left wondering if it's genuine or if you're being deceived again.

You think you'll jump the curve but then you follow exes trends
You have good intentions of breaking the cycle, but end up repeating past mistakes.

You scar another heart because another persons sins
Your past pain causes you to hurt others unintentionally.

But in the end you're both alone so no one ever wins
No one truly wins in a relationship filled with deception and heartache.

I wonder why we treat eachother so
It's perplexing why we mistreat each other and repeat negative patterns.

People may say one thing, but their actions speak louder and contradict their words.

When you finally try to leave a toxic relationship, the other person may try to keep you trapped.

Pain on my mind
The pain from past relationships is still affecting my thoughts and emotions.

Despite the pain, I am still here and willing to put in the time to heal and grow.
