F… Read Full Bio ↴Los Claxons is a Mexican rock band from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.
Formed by members Sánchez (vocals, guitar), Nacho (vocals, guitar) and Cholo (electric guitar) in 2002, the band didn't begin to perform formally until 2004. Pablo González (bass) joined the lineup late in 2005 and Cesareo became the band's permanent drummer in 2009.
Los Claxons released their first studio album, titled Sin ganga, under the independent Mexican label Movic Records in 2005. The band successively gathered fans by means of word of mouth and presence in social networks such as Myspace. Their fan base grew further in 2005 after presentations in several important Mexican cities and their performance in Monterrey as an opening act for Argentinian pop singer Diego Torres.
Following a redistribution of their debut album by Warner Music in 2006, Los Claxons released their second studio album En primera in September 2007. The album included 14 new tracks, including the band's first single Plan perfecto, which received substantial radio airplay in Mexico and was made available for free download on their label's website. In November 2008 Los Claxons opened for American pop-rock band Maroon 5 in concerts played in Guadalajara, Monterrey and Mexico City, which allowed them to further broaden their audience.
In 2009, Cesareo became the band's official drummer and the release of a third studio album was announced for later that year. A single titled Tal vez me estoy tomando el pelo was released in January 2010, with their eponymous third album Los Claxons finally being released on May 25, 2010. The album reached the top spot on the iTunes store in Mexico immediately upon its release.

Prefiero ignorar
Que tengo tantas astillas lastimándome la piel
Y me roban la calma.
No no no no
No puedo pensar, no pienso mas
Nublan mis ideas y hacen de mi todo lo que quieran
Mejor subo al tren, ya me voy
Digo adiós, a todo, todo
Por la ventana, pasan las cosas,
Se sienta una mujer preciosa
A mi lado volteando
Me habla y se acerca y me dice, ¿vos que pasa?
Andas de viaje o vas a casa
Le sonreí sin contestarle.
Sera cuestión de tiempo
Para que tenga que partir de nuevo
(no puedo estar conmigo)
Gota a gota el pasado erosiona mi suelo,
No puedo estar pensando en mis ideas
Me alcanza y hace lo que quiera
Y es difícil lograrlo solo
Y mejor subo al tren
Ya me voy,
Digo adiós a todo, todo
Por la ventana, pasan las cosas,
Se sienta una mujer preciosa
A mi lado volteando,
Me habla y se acerca y me dice, ¿vos que pasa?
Andas de viaje o vas a casa
Le sonreí sin contestarle.
No me canso de estar
Rodando y sin pensar corriendo,
Cruzando estaciones y sin distracciones
Buscando, buscando
Me subo al tren, ya me voy
Digo adiós a todo, todo
Por la ventana, pasan las cosas,
Se sienta otra mujer preciosa
A mi lado volteando
Me habla y me acerco y le digo, ¿hey que pasa?
Andas de viaje o vas a casa
Me sonríe sin contestarme.
The lyrics to Los Claxons’s song, Buscando Casa, express the idea of escaping, both physically and emotionally. The singer reflects on the burden of carrying emotional pain and how it robs him of his peace. He reminisces on how sometimes it's easier to ignore the “splinters” that hurt his skin rather than deal with them. They cloud his thoughts and make him feel helpless, as if he's at the mercy of his own mind. He resigns to the fact that he cannot solve everything on his own, and it's better to escape and clear his head. The train is his escape, his way to say goodbye to everything that is overwhelming him. Along the way, he meets a beautiful woman who strikes up a conversation with him, but he is distant and afraid to open up.
The chorus talks about how he’s constantly searching, both physically and mentally. He’s running without any direction and crossing stations without any distractions, perhaps suggesting that he's avoiding dealing with the emotional baggage he's carrying. He escapes by boarding the train, saying goodbye to everything that ties him down, and continues his search.
The song is a reflection on the burdens that we carry, and how sometimes it's easier to escape than to face and deal with them. It's about taking control and finding peace by leaving everything behind.
