F… Read Full Bio ↴Los Claxons is a Mexican rock band from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.
Formed by members Sánchez (vocals, guitar), Nacho (vocals, guitar) and Cholo (electric guitar) in 2002, the band didn't begin to perform formally until 2004. Pablo González (bass) joined the lineup late in 2005 and Cesareo became the band's permanent drummer in 2009.
Los Claxons released their first studio album, titled Sin ganga, under the independent Mexican label Movic Records in 2005. The band successively gathered fans by means of word of mouth and presence in social networks such as Myspace. Their fan base grew further in 2005 after presentations in several important Mexican cities and their performance in Monterrey as an opening act for Argentinian pop singer Diego Torres.
Following a redistribution of their debut album by Warner Music in 2006, Los Claxons released their second studio album En primera in September 2007. The album included 14 new tracks, including the band's first single Plan perfecto, which received substantial radio airplay in Mexico and was made available for free download on their label's website. In November 2008 Los Claxons opened for American pop-rock band Maroon 5 in concerts played in Guadalajara, Monterrey and Mexico City, which allowed them to further broaden their audience.
In 2009, Cesareo became the band's official drummer and the release of a third studio album was announced for later that year. A single titled Tal vez me estoy tomando el pelo was released in January 2010, with their eponymous third album Los Claxons finally being released on May 25, 2010. The album reached the top spot on the iTunes store in Mexico immediately upon its release.

Siempre el aire que respira
Siempre las batallas
Siempre las olas romperán
Siempre te he mirado más pequeño
Más que a los demás
Te sacaron desde mar abierto
Y tu sin avisar
Y no puedo voltear
Ni con la fuerza de un volcán
Al verte llorar
Al verte cantar
Siempre las fronteras
Siempre por descruces y barreras
Siempre la esperanza
Siempre esperando la llegada
Pensaste que la estrella apagaría, nunca sucedió
Deudas que no se te pagarían
Acuerdos del amor
Y no puedo voltear
Ni con la fuerza de un volcán
Tan solos tu y yo,
Díganme que paso,
Ser pequeña gigante función
Estoy seguro que se murió
Y no puedo voltear
Ni con la fuerza de un volcán
Y no puedo voltear
Ni con la fuerza de un volcán
Al verte llorar
Al verte cantar
Al verte llorar
Al verte cantar
The lyrics of Los Claxons's song "Volcán" convey a sense of deep emotional turmoil and upheaval. The opening lines reflect a perpetual state of being speechless and the constant presence of the air one breathes, as well as the ongoing battles and waves that will continue to break. The imagery of looking at someone smaller than others, taken from the open sea without warning, suggests a vulnerability and suddenness in a relationship that may have turned tumultuous unexpectedly.
The reference to being unable to turn away, even with the force of a volcano, when witnessing the subject cry or sing, evokes a sense of being emotionally attached and unable to distance oneself from the other's pain or joy. This inability to detach suggests a deep emotional connection or perhaps even a feeling of helplessness in the face of their emotions. The repetition of the lines underscores the intensity and persistence of these feelings, emphasizing their significance in the singer's experience.
The mention of boundaries, obstacles, and the perpetual waiting for something to arrive alludes to a sense of longing and anticipation that may remain unfulfilled. The reference to extinguishing a star that never happened, debts that will not be repaid, and agreements of love hints at unmet expectations, disappointments, and unresolved issues in the relationship. The imagery of being so alone together and questioning what happened implies a sense of confusion and loss, possibly hinting at the end of a significant connection.
The repetition of the refrain, expressing the inability to turn away despite the overwhelming force, and the juxtaposition of seeing the subject cry and sing emphasizes the complex and conflicting emotions at play. The final lines hint at a sense of finality, with the singer feeling certain that something intangible has died or been lost. The raw emotions and poignant imagery in the lyrics of "Volcán" paint a vivid picture of a relationship fraught with challenges, emotional depth, and the struggle to navigate the complexities of human connection.
