Amazing
Madonna Lyrics

And you smashed it into bits
Sank me into blackness
And you sealed it with a kiss
If only I could let you go
Why do I need you so
I cannot stop myself
Wish I didn't want you like I do
Want you and no one else
You took a poison arrow
And you aimed it at my heart
It's heavy and it's bitter
And it's tearing me apart
If only I could set you free
You worked your way inside of me
It's amazing what a boy can do
I cannot stop myself
Wish I didn't want you like I do
Want you and no one else
It's amazing what a boy can say
I cannot stop myself
Seems I love you more than yesterday
Love you and no one else
Oh, it's amazing
It's amazing what a boy can do
I cannot stop myself
Wish I didn't want you like I do
Want you and no one else
It's amazing what a boy can say
I cannot stop myself
Seems I love you more than yesterday
Love you and no one else
It's amazing
Oh, it's amazing
I cannot stop myself
Wish I didn't
Love you and no one else
The lyrics to Madonna's "Amazing" are about the all-consuming nature of an intense romantic relationship. The song describes how the singer's partner, a "boy," has entered their life and completely taken over, leaving them helpless and unable to resist their charm. The first verse sets up the visual imagery of the situation, describing how the singer's former sense of self has been destroyed by this person. The line "sank me into blackness" is particularly striking, as it suggests a feeling of drowning or suffocation. The second verse focuses on the physical and emotional pain caused by this relationship, with the metaphor of a "poison arrow" emphasizing the harmful nature of the attraction. However, despite the negative consequences, the singer cannot let go of their desire for this person. They are fully aware that this is unhealthy, but cannot resist the feeling of infatuation.
Overall, "Amazing" speaks to the overwhelming effect that love can have on a person, even when it is not healthy. Madonna's lyrics capture the feeling of being consumed by another person, unable to think or act independently. The song presents a realistic, almost cautionary tale of infatuation and the risks it can pose to one's mental and emotional wellbeing.

Also Confessions on a Dance Floor is, but I can't say the same for Hard Candy, MDNA or Rebel Heart.

Isabela Guimarães Yes, its my favourite album.

I love the toned down intro and how the song suddenly "explodes". I agree with Madonna when she thought that "Impressive Instant" deserved to be the 4th single off the album while her management wanted this one, though every song could be a single since "Music" is pure perfection.

yeah. impressive instant might be too weird for the radios but it would’ve made experimental music more popular

William Orbit did a great job, he created both masterpieces, "Beautiful Stranger" and "Amazing". If you notice the song "I'm a sinner"' from MDNA it's similar to this song which is also produced by Orbit.!
